I have no functionality now on my mouse and keyboard that is plugged into my Xbox since this new update. Has anyone else had this issue? My joystick does not work either.
FREQUENCY OF ISSUE
Loaded up twice had same issue.
REPRODUCTION STEPS
Can have the functionality on the play now screen. But cannot pick play now. Have to do this with controller as the left click mouse does not allow play now to be selected. Once past play now, no functionality or registration of my devices
YOUR SETTINGS
Default on all
Note: The mouse, keyboard and joystick (not well) but recognised before the update.
Hotfix gives back mouse curser until login to xbox panel. Then email field cannot be opened. Single curser blink then curser gone, again. Click to create new acct and all works swimmingly. Then correctly tells me i already have acct and to log in. Back to unable to open and to type in field! Fix one major logon issue create another. This is beyond disgraceful. 3 days since download and no further than login scn. Steam tells me i have been playing sim for 7 hours. I wish! Microsoft should be refunding 50% oe better still 100%. Product is not fit for purpose.
please Jorg and team. I haven’t flown a meter with FS24 because my mouse doesn’t work. This has become the basis to look around in the cockpit and outside. The mouse spins like a top. There are so many complaints about this. The update didn’t help me. For 4 days I can’t do anything with FS24.
Until today I had the use of my joystick, keyboard and mouse. The mouse was having the same FREELOOK issue others have identified. Around 1400hrs EST on Sat, 23 Nov my XBox series X stopped identifying my mouse completely. I view the mouse function as very important to my enjoyment and hope this is given a high priority for a fix. I appreciate your efforts trying to fix what eventually will be a great flight simulator 2024.
if i try to use the mouse to view either in cockpit or out, the camera just goes nuts. enough to give me headache. dont remember ever having to adjust the mouse on 2020
I don’t feel taken seriously by FS. Why can’t I still play FS on Xbox X. My mouse and controller settings don’t work. I can’t do anything now!!! Why are you guys making us wait so long for a solution??? and no answers, for days
My honeycomb works fine. I had to figure out how to bind the buttons. The default control is that of a complex twin and im going to have to map each aircraft one by one. I haven’t yet tried the boeing and airbus controllers yet. Even if the controllers did work the mouse is still all over the place. Ive only been able to fly the cessna. I can’t use the complex aircraft because of this issue and i doubt its going to be fixed for xbox users until after thanksgiving holiday. My opinion is msfs2024 shouldn’t have been released in this state.
Consider never had, or even thought about adjusting the mouse on 2020, this problem is even more annoying. And upsetting it’s not a quick fix to copy this all into 2024. Pulled out of game pass so I don’t waste time making sense of this software and will never purchase 2024. At least I hope they leave 2020 alone
I was really hoping that this would have been fixed before the Christmas break - I still haven’t finished setting up my yoke and hotas, as I feel there’s really no real point until the mouse works.
I know user numbers are very different but, I think if this were happening on PC, it would be a slightly higher priority for Asobo.
So has everyone just deleted the mouse freelook bindings? That’s what I did and at least now I can use my mouse to point and click on things again. When I move the mouse, I expect to see the pointer and be able to click on things. However sometimes the mouse pointer is invisible, yet it randomly highlights things.
Also, the stupid White Dot - which I have turned off - still “activates” things that are directly in the center of the view “under” the invisible white dot… Does anyone at Asobo ever use an Xbox?
I’m really way beind everyone on the learning curve on MSFS 2024. I shut it off for the first month to wait for bug fixes. I have yet to get off the ground, still trying to figure out bindings and fuel loading…
