Still after 3 patches Xbox users still left with the same problem of our mouse not working and deciding to spin uncontrollably when trying to look around using it…
Looks like MS/Asobo are going to be leaving us paying customers like this for the Christmas and probably will not even look at it till the new year if even…poor how the console is being ignored
Description of the issue: when I attempt to connect my mouse to my Xbox S, the game identifies that I have connected a mouse however I’m unable to move my mouse at all. I’ve tried many different mice but none of them work consistently. When I do get them to work, the mouse is ultra sensitive.
FREQUENCY OF ISSUE
Every time on sim.

I have stayed away from MSFS 2024 - mostly because work has been too busy, but also because my simple attempts to just try things were met with CTDs on Xbox X.
I have a clean new install on Xbox X of purchased Premium Deluxe, with zero customizations. I have an Xbox controller, and a Microsoft keyboard and mouse combo (with a wireless USB thingy).
When I choose a plane at a parking spot and click Fly Now, it puts me in the sim in Walk Around Mode. I move the mouse to click on covers, and boom - the view goes down to my avatar’s feet, or up to the sky, and then I simply can’t do anything else.
Did anyone at Asobo even try MSFS on Xbox with a mouse? Not sure what is supposed to happen, but pretty sure it’s not this. No energy to sort it out so I just give up.
Same issue here.
Um… how did my post above get marked as a “Solution”? It’s not, it’s a complaint…

Yes.

• Bare installation (after re-install). FS2020 worked ok on same rig. In FS2024 I can move mouse cursor and click on controls etc., but using right-click and drag to free-look goes CrAzyy (seems hyper-accelerated) UNLESS I do absolutely t_i_n_y movements (which is impossible to do in a sim) in which case it seems to work ok.
MS Keyboard (BT). Tried 2 different MS Mouse (BT). Thrustmaster Hotas One also connected.

So after 23 days and 3 patches the issue of he mouse spin still causes problems on the Xbox.
3 patches have now taken place and this problem still occurs for Xbox users.
Can we at least get some clarity as to what’s going on? Instead of forms of contact for yourselves just ignoring our pleas for help. I have this sim since day one, but haven’t flown a metre!! How is this a way to treat paying customers!!
Don’t know how this bug is still under investigation. It’s like they didn’t even test the sim before releasing it.
That being said, happily flown 100 hours so far. I just wish I could stop using my controller to move the camera, and then use my mouse to actually click on things.
#3 on the bug list and still not fixed. Ridiculous. It works fine on PC. Actually the sim is much better on PC. Xbox still all kinds of problems it’s unplayable without a controller.
Its a ■■■■■■■ clown show and im sick of it. The absolute silence about it really shows what they think about it, a non issue. They are probably just hoping people will shut up about it after a while. Asobo clowns.
‘PC being better’ would only matter to people who own PC’s.
Why would you not use a controller with an Xbox?
Granted, I mostly use a HOTAS + controller.
Same reason you dont with a computer.
To be honest, if it wasn’t for the sensitivity settings, I wouldn’t bother plugging a mouse in at all. I didn’t own a mouse until 2 weeks ago.
Of course if something isn’t working right, it should, but there are workarounds.
I use a keyboard, mouse, and a controller (or flight stick). I get around the cockpit with a mouse. Much easier.
That says it all.
I own an Xbox.
That’s hardly a surprise is it?
I have 20 hours up and only use the controller for seat positioning. I pan using the hat switch, which I don’t like, but I wouldn’t say it’s unplayable without a controller. Can’t wait for the mouse pan issue to be sorted.
