Need help, beyond my abilities
Cannot push buttons, turn knobs, release brakes, perform any actions on the instruments & controls.
While in the cockpit the cursor (arrow) is present and moves correctly, when hovering over a button the arrow changes to a hand-with-pointing-finger and button/switch is highlighted and when hovering over a lever, throttle . etc arrow changes to an open-hand appears and is highlighted. Pressing left mouse button or right mouse button does not cause any response/action.
I’ve tries to restarting game and computer; emptied the community file, confirmed that the left mouse button is the primary mouse button. Checked that neither the right or left mouse button is not assigned in MSFS 2020.
Thanks
Do you have the Honeycomb Alpha or Bravo controls? If so, those devices take over mouse control for some “mouse activitaed actions”. If you do not have them, and use something else, make sure that device has not taken over the mouse action for that thing being tried. I figured this out several weeks ago, when could not turn on LDG lights in 747, hmmmm, unpluged Bravo device and it worked as before. Again, an explanation from the developers of game or device would have helped afore, I went through all hair on head being pulled out. Let us know.
I wonder why ‘Legacy’ f do it’s not feature on the xbox version?
Changing to Cockpit Interaction System to “Legacy” worked. Thanks All!

I have the same issue on both the PC and the Xbox series x. What is a work around for both? When operating in the Top Gun stuff, I can’t operate the afterburner.
Try pressing both mouse buttons at the same time while highlighting the button. It worked for me while trying to change radio settings.
Thank you, this worked for my PC, however not for my Xbox. I did not have the ‘Cockpit interaction system’ title under accessibility.
And in both my PC and Xbox, I cannot figure out how to turn on afterburners in the F16. It’s necessary for the Top Gun exercises. And I’m using the Thrustmaster HOTAS w/Throttle quadrant for both.
Thanks in advance.
