I get that too. What I do is to look up and move the mouse. It’ll go to the center of the screen and then I move my head and mouse down…

Yup, I do the same. It’s a real pain to throw switches on an overhead panel.

It has been happening to me too on occasion. Sometimes I can’t even interact with the Toolbar.

I’ve experienced a similar issue, except it’s the opposite. I can’t get the mouse cursor to go to the bottom half of the screen.

It depends on what hemisphere you live in.

I’ve seem to remember this happening when I enter VR from windowed (rather than full screen) 2D mode. The mouse only wanted to stay in the area the 2D window occupied.

I haven’t seen this recently, though.

I do find the mouse often sluggish and won’t move very freely so i have to use the touch controllers, but these don’t work on some controls, so have to revert to the mouse. It’s a mad world!

Hi folks,

Can those of you able to replicate this confirm whether this is only happening within the SU2 Beta build v1.4.7.0, or was this present beforehand?

Thanks
The MSFS Team

From my admittedly poor memory, it could happen prior to even SU 1, as I had to press the key-bind or, in my case, a joystick button, along with the mouse left button while waiving the mouse pointer around to try and enable the Toolbar. Sometimes I could not get the mouse pointer high enough to do that.
Win 10, 5800x3D, 4090.

Edit: I think it may have happened to me on SU2 beta after I enabled windowed mode (when testing quad views and needing to adjust Pimax Play settings) as ExtraPilot6480 mentioned above. Could be wrong though; apologies for not being sure.

It was present before.
Edit: I only fly VR in windowed mode.

Thanks for the responses! I’m going to do a search to see if this has already been reported in the Bug Reporting Hub > Virtual Reality (VR) category if this doesn’t seem to be a new bug in SU2, and also isn’t a regression.

Yeah this was present before SU2 for me. From what I could tell it was like the mouse arrow was running into the edge of the window/screen on my monitor and wouldn’t move any further in VR. At least that is what I could discern from looking underneath the headset when it happened. Ended up having to use the quest controller to manipulate the overhead buttons on the airliners.

For now I’ve moved this topic out of the SU2 Beta category and into the main Bug Reporting Hub > Virtual Reality (VR) category as a number of users have indicated this issue was present prior to SU2. I can’t find a similar bug report on the forums to merge this topic with currently.

I had similar problems with the mouse since 2024 came out. The workaround for me is to run the game fullscreen instead of windowed.
