Moving Content between Community and Community 2024

Thanks for explanation.
Does this happen automatically that my msfs 24 will go into that new community2024 folder or do we all have to physically move them? (if we still have 2020 that is)

I don’t know, but I doubt that it is automatically done by MSFS, as content in Community & Community2024 are from 3rd parties.

I’d suggest you contact those 3rd-party folks to see how to handle this for their particular product(s).

Moving purchased content manually from Community to Community2024 should not (AFAIK) affect MSFS, but might break the installer app used by the 3rd-party content provider.

Free software than you just unzip & placed in Community should be able to just be manually moved from Community to Community2024, but I’d double check to ensure that the old location was still not being referenced in Content.xml.

Just a heads up that my original community folder was not touched by the SU4 install, which occurred while I was at work today. I still see all my community content in the aircraft selection screen.

There is now a Community 2024 folder, but it is empty.

I have the sim installed in a custom directory (MSFS2024/Community). I am a PC and MS Store user.

I think folks who are in MSFS 2024 can keep their ‘24 specific content in the Community named folder since the User.Cfg.opt files (one for each sim version) define where your Packages are located, and by extension, the respective Community folders for each sim.
