I got this from their support staff.

The AB9 base currently only supports three specific joystick grips:

  1. Thrustmaster F-16C Viper HOTAS Add-On Grip
  2. Thrustmaster F/A-18C Hornet HOTAS Add-On Grip
  3. VirPil Controls VPC MongoosT-50CM2 Grip

These are the only grips that are compatible with the AB9 base due to their specific structural design. So no left hand stick for this for now.
