Please can MS advise whether a fix is intended to be issued shortly to resolve today’s MS2024 installation issue - or whether customers should just wait for a few days until Server load is reduced. This would be very useful to avoid unnecessary further attempts wasting more time.Thankyou very much, it would be greatly appreciated.
Hi, I think the issue here is that everyone who has bought the sim wants to load and play it. So those who are on are hardly likely to get off swiftly. This means the servers remain full, not allowing others on, so when exactly will things improve? I would like to know, 1) How many people have bought the program, 2) how many players can the server cope with at any one time? Surely to God, Asobo must have known how many possible users they expected to sign on immediately, and their capacity. I see all those who were Alpha testers seem to have got on (wild statement, I cannot back it up, but judging by YouTube, they are all posting ‘they’re on’.) How do the servers work? Do they allow the USA first then others? Because here in the UK, I have had the ‘wait or come back later’ sign-on for over an hour and I’ve done everything. Gees, Asobo or Microsoft, hang your heads in shame, yet another botched launch (and don’t say it was unexpected, you have the data to know, and you cannot be bothered to post any messages to those waiting to get on…)
Agreed, it’s been a disastrous launch and Microsoft really needs to start communicating what they are doing to resolve the issues many are experiencing.
Ever been stuck in a grid locked freeway? Know whose fault that is? Not the traffic authority’s. Not the freeway planners’. It’s the idiot drivers who choose to use the finite road space at the same time as everyone else. Utterly predictable and utterly preventable. Stay off the freeway until the other idiots go home. Then you’ll have a nice, smooth and stress free drive. Same with this issue.
they should just give us our money back and keep supporting msfs2020… I knew it would be a disaster the day they announced it. maybe release it when you are really ready…
This is nothing like a gridlock. This is simply a traffic authority thinking a one lane highway is capable of pushing tens of thousand of cars going to the same destination through. It IS the problem of the traffic authority, as this problem has been highly expected and they have been warned well in advance it would happen…
Some people actually have a job and have no choice.
Try at off-peak hours would be my guess (e.g., 3 AM)
They just added a banner on the front page.
They are still supporting MSFS20, and it’s still available for use… Rather than sitting here moaning about it, why not fire up the existing SIM and have a fly?!
I do not understand how they could not anticipate this. The number of MSFS users is accurately known to them. What a screw up.
Because servers for that are being affected i’m in 2020 and had numerous offline messages and has taken forever to get online connectivity to work
Gosh, I was going to do a flight in MSFS2020 before going to sleep… I pass for today.
I recommend looking up what a Cloud infrastructure actually is before comparing it to a static concrete freeway. What you are describing is literally one of the major reasons why scalable Cloud IT was invented in the first place!
I was an alpha tester and still can’t get on so that statement isn’t correct…
What they should of done was released it at midnight local time for each country - yes people would have to wait for they’re local time to be midnight but it would of spaced it all out
What they really should’ve done is not put it on Gamepass for at least the first day.
2020 is working just fine for me. No server issues whatsoever.
First world problems, eh?!
I knew this would happen. Ridiculous! How can you not be preparred with a world wide launch!!!
Yes, but there are many who don’t actually need to download it now. They are called discretionary clients. And it is they who should feel free to immediately go away and let the employed access the servers.
If you knew this would happen, what are you doing in the queue?
