When 2020 dropped, I purchased it and had no problem installing it. There were bugs, but they were being dealt with. After the latest update, I started getting the “Insert Disc” Messages. Then there was a message stating that “2020 not localized in Korea” and when I clicked on the play button, I was taken to the store where I could buy MSFS 2020. Tried a couple more time, but it was the same loop.
I am in Korea and did not have a problem when I first purchased the program. Looked for a refund site, but could not find it. Like to keep 2020, but not if I cannot play it.
Hi, there are loads of posts on this forum and others about the “insert disc” message, I personally have never had any issues like this, but others have.
One suggestion is to disable your firewall. Better still, add MSFS as an exception.
Presumably you have a reliable internet connection?

Desperately need ANY suggestions!
Oh dear, it’s been a while since I’ve seen the “cyclic redundancy check” data error.
It usually means it’s struggling to read the disc. It’s not exclusive to MSFS. I don’t really use DVDs now but I used to get this whenever the disc was scratched…or maybe got fingerprints on it…etc.
Sometimes just taking the disc out and putting it back would work. Giving the disc a rinse under a tap (followed by a very gently wipe dry) would sometimes help
Is it the first time you’ve installed / used the discs?
If it doesn’t work then you might want to contact the supplier ( Aerosoft?) hope you didn’t get it from eBay or similar.

Steve
Also turn off AV software.
