"MSFS 2020 Installation Issue: Stuck on the Fly Button Screen"

Hello,

I am experiencing significant technical issues with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and need your assistance.

  • When I press the Fly" button, the game gets stuck on the loading screen and does not progress. I have waited for over 9 hours, but nothing happens.
  • During the installation process, I also spent over 2 days trying to set up the game.
  • So far, I’ve only been able to spend a total of 5-7 minutes in the game, which was entirely in the training stage and world discovery section. Due to these technical issues, I couldn’t experience any other content.

I kindly ask for your support to resolve this issue. I can provide more details about my system or follow any troubleshooting steps you suggest.

Sounds like the sim is having trouble loading some part of the game and the most likely cause is a scenery or aircraft addon. As a start try emptying your Community Folder - and also check that you only have one C/F as MSFS has been known to make another which it reads rather than the one you think you are using.
A simpler method is to load the sim in “Safe” mode, easiest is to “crash” the programme by exiting using Task Manager then restarting and selecting Safe mode. If it works then you need to go through your addons to find the culprit.
If not then you could have a corrupted file.Try a repair/reset in Windows (Settings/Apps/Installed apps/Microsoft Flight Simulator, click on the 3 dots then Advanced Options).
If no-one else comes in to offer another suggestion, my next move would be a fresh install of MSFS2020, making sure you follow the installation instructions.
I am, of course, assuming your system at least meets MS minimum requirements, and Windows and all your drivers are up-to-date.

I downloaded the game for the first time and had this problem. Now I downloaded it again and will try again, but what is C/F?

Never seen a screen like that, why is the Xbox Controller showing, anyone else know?

Okay, can you use Task Manager to close the sim (CTRL+ALT+DEL) reboot your computer and restart the sim. See if it offers to start in Safe or ordinary mode, choose Safe and see what happens.

I returned the game and will try to buy it from Steam.

mine is doing the same- worked for about 2 weeks after i did a clean install,now its stuck again.. HELP!!!
