MSFS 2020 Items Slowly Becoming Available in MSFS 2024 Library

Haha yeah good catch

One week later and I am still missing some aircraft. I get that the CRJ was made by Aerosoft and not Asobo, so maybe there are some issues with that. But missing the AN225 is insane, since it was part of the $250 Aviators edition.

Anyone has the an225 yet? Jorg said best sim ever made? Image a car manufacturer, make cars without steering wheel… lol, sad, best ever made don’t include everything.

Exactly. And the 225 is on the home page board of fs2024. But is it available, no.

Just a note: the Milviz/Blackbird Corsair is decidedly buggy in FS2024. On my first flight, the cockpit gauges were completely non-functional. With additional testing yesterday, my gauges worked but after my test flight, at some point during my taxi to park and shutdown, all the cockpit switches and levers became non-functional and could not be interacted with by mouse. Physical controls still worked though, so I was able to shut down by going full-lean on the mixture.

In addition to the above, the gunsite was either non-functional or so dim as to be invisible, and the pull-out chart board where you can set your load options, set and remove chocks, etc. was also very, very dim. Milviz/Blackbird have indicated they want to update/fix their aircraft for the new sim, but no timeline.

Thanks for the insight. However I don’t mind all those issues. I fly externally. So as long as basic flight controls work and it takes off and flies, I’d rather have it than wait months for a correct version.

The team encountered a game breaking bug and had to redo all the 2020 addons in the days before release, and they didn’t get everything finished in time.

Your missing plane just likely has not yet been re-added to 2024. I expect it will be there soon.

A lot of people reporting that their content from MSFS 2020 is appearing. I have not got anything from 2020 at all.
My library is empty. I bought the Aviator edition but just read the full fleet might not be available until next year. It’s a lot of money for something that’s still very hit n miss. When it does work it is impressive though.

I just discovered that my V-22, which I did have yesterday, has also disappeared. I’d give a lot at this point for somebody to explain what the Hell is going on.

If all the aircraft that I paid good money for and was assured would be carried over from 2020 to 2024 start vanishing one by one, I’ll be getting in line for my refund.

EDIT: I do have the An-225. It was one of the first batch of planes I got…but so was the V-22, and it’s now gone. So, whatever that means…

Still no Caribou, JU52, Staggerwing for me as I just checked. I didn’t have the others, or if I did never used them.

I really miss “Aunty Ju” for VR flying. :frowning:

Honestly I just dont get the point to delay the process(even removing contents, from today’s update), and disabling the content manager. Dude, just let us to choose, if it’s crashing we could just deactivate them through the manager, why the hell holding all of those? Without some of my favorite scenery bought from marketplace, FS24 now lacks a lot of fun.

Are you on PC or Xbox? Did you create a new account or use a different one to buy 2024 than why you did for 2020? Most of my items are in my library. Might make sense to raise a ticket.

The problem is if the add-ons don’t work, it prevents the sim from loading completely so you’ll be constantly stuck at the loading screen without being able to start up the sim. You won’t be able to access the library to turn them off. Thats why they are going about it the way they are.

People my be interested in this statement released by MSobo:

The relevant bit is:

We have recently ported much of the marketplace content from Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS 2020) to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 (MSFS 2024). Recent reports from the community show that some 3rd party add-ons are causing significant issues, including preventing some users from entering the simulator. Until we identify which content is causing these issues, we will temporarily deactivate all MSFS 2020 non-aircraft content from MSFS 2024.

As part of the patch planned for the week of Dec 9th, we will add the ability for users to disable/enable content on their own. We will also add a safe boot option to deactivate 3rd party content in case of a crash when booting up the simulator.

Edit (thanks @SharpWave):
This means that 2020 stuff you own will only currently appear if it produced by MSobo. If it is produced by a This means your 2020 MP aircraft should be there but all other 3rd party content it will not appear until Dec 9th at the earliest.

Safe flying, sPK

This is not correct. I’ve got plenty of 2020 aircraft that have been brought over to my copy of 2024. Or do you mean only sceneries? Those I don’t have.

It’s not if they are made by them, it’s if they have been checked and tested that they don’t completely stop the sim from working. I have tons of my 2020 items right now, but others that are missing because they haven’t been tested or are incompatible.

Uggg. By that time it’s the 3rd full week of 2024 being out and still don’t have access to items. Hopefully market place opens then too. They said 2 weeks delay.

we will temporarily deactivate all MSFS 2020 non-aircraft content from MSFS 2024

Aircraft are still good, it’s everything else (sceneries, light packs, missions, etc) that’s on hold.

What’s sort of a hilarious irony is now MSobo has to go through every single last piece of shovelware that was on the marketplace and individually test whether they break the sim on either PC or xbox.

It was pretty wonky, some aircraft have various livery versions of them in the ‘hangar’ and others are buried in other aircraft, like the Savage Carbon hiding in the Shock Ultra. I did the empty folder trick and removed everything non-native to the PD version for now. Stopped a lot of issues and loads the game in about 1:30. Is what it is. There’s very few that just work at the moment I don’t want to figure out what other aircraft may be doing to the few that fully work.

Not correct. I’ve had my Black Box aircraft disappear in the last week (had them, then lost them, but only the Shorts Brothers stuff – my Turbine Duke is still here). Plus my V-22 vanished a day after the Shorts stuff.

Supposedly the developer is working on a patch that will fix what’s wrong with the V-22, whatever it is, that will be out in a couple of weeks.

Not a peep yet on the Black Box airplanes.
