I’m very confused about updates mechanism in MFSF 2020.
It seems to me that MSFS updates automatically when an update is available.
Neverthless, on the official site I see many development updates.
Are these needed or advisable?.
And if yes, how can I install it?

They are updates you can read, not updates to the actual software.
Think of those updates as progress reports, not software code updates.
In your screenshot, the Development Updates refer to weekly blog posts, not updates to your simulator. Cheers!
