It probably is more complex, then what it seems - otherwise a hotfix might have been pushed.
At least this thread is “bug-logged” - at the same time, the MS2024 version of the issue is “feedback-logged”. It sure is a strange one, wonder if the team will comment on this soon - I don’t have the issue most of the time closing MS2020 but have had it happen and currently with MS2024 I can exit normally most of the time but on a longer session, it seems to freeze on exit as well, requiring a forced close.
