MSFS 2024 Airliner wishlists?

I really thought Fenix is going to release a Boeing 737 MAX, but now the cat is out of the bag and we will get an awesome A319 and A321 and P2F
You don´t seem to like the PMDG 737 NG for some reason?

A BAE JetStream 41 would actually work super well for long range VIP transport missions :slightly_smiling_face:

Unlikely the whole reason is not on the marketplace is because of the restrictions. They can’t make the code open sieve which would kill projects like headwind The guys who are doing the A220 and DFD. All of them basically share a part of the code from the fbw. If fbw puts it on the marketplace or partners with Asobo that code can no longer be open sourced FBW said no to that already. So unless ms/Asobo change their guidelines it won’t happen.

A good selection of short, medium and long haul would be good in my opinion, something for everyone. Keep what we have though, I hated losing the 777 and 737-400 in FSX - yes, I know addons but I was on dial up at the time lol and now we have the glorious Working Title.

Perhaps:

Dash 8-400
Embraer 190
Airbus 320 and 321 neo
A330
A350
C130

Obviously along with the ones we’ve already seen in the trailer.

It would never happen especially with the geopolitical situation as it is, but I would love to see some Eastern European and Russian transport aircraft:

LET L-410 Turbolet
Tupolev Tu-135, -154, etc
Antonov An-24, An-26, etc
Yakovlev Yak-40, Yak-42

On the western side, regional turboprops:

Fairchild Metroliner
Dash-8-100/200
BAe Jetstream 31/32
etc etc

Granted these are all older aircraft, and for MSFS2024 to be successful, they’re going to want to cater to the majority who want the latest and greatest. Best I could suggest there is maybe the Cessna SkyCourier. That would be interesting.

And for the L1011, there’s a guy in the UK who has a fully functional RB211 engine in his back yard, perfect for the soundset lol. I give you:

CRJ is out (by Aerosoft)… MD-83 is out by Leonardo.

I dislike it when flight simmers brush off default aircraft suggestions in favour of payware alternatives.

I may already own the Fenix A320 and PMDG 737, yet I don’t want to pay $60+ for the base model CRJ, nor $90+ for the base model MD-80. I’ve no affinity to either of these aircraft to learn all their intricacies, nor spend that much cash on them.

A casual flyer or someone new to flight sim definitely doesn’t need this high level of complexity or the high price.

Catering for novice/casual flyers needs to remain, which can be cheap payware like LVFR and Carenado, or can be freeware.

Seeing the work FBW, WT, Headwind, Kuro and Salty have accomplished makes me want to see more default aircraft that may get similar treatment so that there are a greater number of options.
That can only be helpful to the overall success of the MSFS franchise.

The likelyhood of anyone else putting out those aircraft for free or some kind of cheap alternative is very slim - it’s ALREADY done as well as could be, why would anyone else develop these same birds? It just is what it is - if you want to fly them and are ok with paying the premium, they are available. If not, MSFS already has way too much default aircraft that is not very high fidelity.
