MSFS-2024 Cessna Longitude Lights (inside and out) not working

I am on a PC.

  1. Description of the issue: The external lights don’t work at night. The internal ones are much dimmer than they have been in the past on 2020.

No add-ons installed.

Also checked with a friend who is having the same issue with the same airplane.

Tested that lights are working in other airplanes. I have 1000s of hours in FS 2020 on this airplane and that works fine this is just in 2024.

This happens every time it is dark!

Same. Makes taxi at night sketchy

That is right. Can’t turn off any cautions. :frowning:

Same issue, external lights not working but my autopilot has no issue and work correctly. Who developer has test this plane ? Terrible.

Thank you for the bug report.

We have created an internal ticket to see if our team already has this logged, and if not they will attempt to reproduce the issue and create a new bug report. This item is now marked as feedback-logged. If there is an existing bug report or one is created, we will move this thread to bug-logged

With all due respect but why is it necessary to create bug reports if the planes are simply unfinished and have been released like that?
Shouldn’t those missing or broken features be on a list or something anyway?

I don’t want to bring up the old “imagine you bought a car” comparison but… You get my point.

Kind regards

C’mon you relay said “attempt to reproduce the issue”. Use the airplane at NIGHT and try the lights inside and out. THEY don’t work.

This is an UNFINISHED UNTESTED product. The official bug should be.

Issue: Incomplete functional testing was conducted on the Lighting systems of the Cessna Longitude. Developers should complete functional testing of the aircraft at any airport at night to identify and resolve this issue.

I wonder how they released it this way. Totally unacceptable. What I’m wondering even more is who are testing them…

To be fair as it has been pointed out… The bugs may have been found and some executive may have made the decision to push to production even though 10,000 of known bugs existed.

It would be nice for some to admit what happened here. Was it a lack of testing or was it a push to production with known bugs. It can only be ONE of the two.

Just started using Longitude. Overhead panel light button indicators not working. Push to turn on; no “ON” light illuminates in middle of button.

This is not limited to longitude. It is also happening to other aircraft. I can’t play at night until it’s fixed.

For me it is not about the button it is about the fact the lights on the outside of the airplane are not lighting up the runway at night at all. You can’t see anything it has no lights.

The taxi/landing lights works, but they are pointed straight down as with some other aircraft in this sim.

A simple matter of accountability at the top of the leadership team. We all know that’s it a no brainer to test the aircraft in varying light conditions. So that clearly was done by competent technical staff. This is a leadership decision, and it demands a discussion regarding accountability as it’s Microsoft’s reputation being impacted. No doubt this will be fixed in the coming weeks … but we should continue to ask the question about accountability. I have not heard an adequate explanation, and this light situation is a simple and high profile case to use for leadership dialog.

The same goes for GNS530 screens, they over glow at night, impossible to see what is on the screen. The Longitude does have lights they are just pointed straight down.

These are not bugs, they are errors.

the latest patch didn’t fix the issues with lighting on this jet even though the patch said it did. Items related to lighting in the 1.2.7.0 patch are NOT working at all.
