A big thank you to the MSFS and Asobo teams for the improvements I have seen in FS2024 over the past 24-36 hours. Loading is quick (most of the time), no issues with aircraft or AI traffic textures (majority of the time) and the world is looking amazing. The level of detail is breathtaking at times, and I am loving the World Photography mode.
Photogrammetry in Los Angeles looks the same but runs a lot smoother; much less in the way of stutters and frame drops as I fly around, even with some 2020 Marketplace airports dotted around.
XBSX user here. I have to say that while I didnât attempt to purchase and download on launch day, I did so yesterday and the whole experience was almost completely trouble-free. Iâve been flying about with very, very few (if any, tbh) issues. Probably a function of a closed system like XBSX, but nevertheless quite impressive given the amount of bother the launch caused PC users. Gutted to discover the devs have culled âA.I. PIlotâ, though. In Godâs name, why?
Six screenshots of anything but aircraft in a flight simulator and itâs somehow âdeliveringâ.
This is exactly why people call it a game. Sure itâs pretty - shame the flight simulation aspect of the flight simulator is so poorly represented though.
Didnt take long for the trolls to arrive who canât seem to accept that the sim is working for some, albeit of course with bugs.
Definitely has huge potential and starting to work better and better. Lots still to be done of course.
Little video i made yesterday with the new integrated replay tool and very realistic live weather as i live nearby to this⌠and it obviously includes an aircraft
Looks like it is streaming TLOD in its arc radius? Mountains routinely suffer from LOD issues, as they are highly visible, yet outside the lod range. Not great is it.
How can you judge this with absolute certainty, with so many bugs and issues still present and no plane around that uses the physics and flightmodel improvements to the full extent? Letâs talk again when we have the first 3rd party studylevel craft around and the sim is stable and mature, because to judge the entire sim based on the first week, including that failure of a launch, is madness. Itâs like judging Fs2020 based on launch day, while itâs a completely different sim these days, and we wonât have to wait years this time to have a good sim, of that I am absolutely certain.
wanted to say the exact same which is currently my biggest issue: it looked great on the ground from day 1 (ha ha). But looking at the resolution of mt. Kilimajaro in the back makes me wonder what´s going on here. Also TLOD doesn´t affect it a lot really. I am at 400 and it looks the sameâŚ
i went back to check some dudes alpha footage. Flew the exact same route. Didn´t see any difference in LOD scaling compared to yesterday. I do think that´s how its built.
I look at it like this: They knew from the beginning how much server capacity they would get. I don´t think they can or will add upon it beyond to an extent which solves the connectivity issues. LOD Texture res is fixed, i am pretty sure about it. Then again i don´t know the slightest thing about these matters. Which in internet terms makes me an expert
