Looks like a Fantastic new sim.
Renting and gifting an aircraft is a really good idea.
What comes to my mindā¦
If the 2024 version is so much leaning on on demand streaming, how will our ISPās handle this in the long run?
Many of us have unlimited data plans but some still have small, hard te read letters saying āfair use policyā.
Another thing : will starlink be able to keep up with the data hunger the new sim is introducing?

The release explains that the amount you stream will be less.
That sounds ok, thanks for your reply.
I promised myself to have to hold my horses on release day, lean back and watch a bunch of reviews a couple of weeks but TTM just shot a hole in my defenseā¦

The official requirements were just made public.
Minimum 10Mpbs
Recommended 50Mbps
Ideal specs 100Mbps connection
Thanks for your reply
The base reason of my question is not specifally about the down/up speed ( mine is far beyond the minimums in my case) but the monthly cap in total.

The link in the announcement said this:
ā¦available for pre-order today on the Microsoft Store ā will launch in a variety of editions on November 19, 2024, and day one with PC Game Pass.
Iām guessing this will be available on MS-Store a little later in the day?
All I see now are the different flavors of FS2020.
oh manā¦ bummmerrrrrrrr!
airports needed some floodlights
MSFS 2024 Versions here.
When the announcement was made, the four flavors, from āStandardā to āAviatorā were already available for pre order on the MS Store.
I could not find it on Steam though.
EDIT : Also the official requirements were made public:
No mention of 3D chips having an edge in the requirements. āIdealā CPU is 12c/24t.
Also, āidealā RAM size was bumped to 64GB.
GPU VRAM req is remarkably reasonable.
Not available for preorder on Steam until the 26th.
Thanks for clarifying. So itās on xbox.com, not my MS-Store account.
Comparing the editions I see more aircraft and airports for each successively more expensive package, with everything else the same. No mention of extra discounts for Premium Deluxe owners on future marketplace purchases like we enjoy in FS2020.
The 64 GB of RAM recommendation seems like really good news to me. Iām no computer expert, but it sounds like theyāre letting the CPU do more work which in turn allows it to address more RAM? I know people werenāt even using 32 before, so this might be a big jump.
I guess it depends on how the sim handles at, say, 16 or 32GB of RAM given that fewer than 1% of folks run 64GB in surveys. But thankfully RAM is not as pricey to swap and itās relatively easy to do.
Unless they give you extra pre-order goodies, there is no point in pre-ordering a digital download.
They do. The Canadair CL-415.
Iāve only watch one video so far and I didnāt hear anything about ATC improvements. If not, I take it we might still need third party ATC apps.
