MSFS 2024 Hijacks System Volume

# ISSUE DESCRIPTION

During load screen and menus the game seems not hijack my system volume controls - whether I set my volume slider on my system to 0 or 100 makes no difference to the music volume.
Sometimes when flying I can control volume and at other times it is like in point 1 above and I have no control over it.
Then after playing the game my system volume slider no longer issues any sounds when volume is chaged. I need to go into sound settings and disable and re-enable my system Sound Scheme to get it working again.

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?

I have nothing in my community folder at present

# FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

The first and third issues are 100% consistent and the second is intermittent.

Play the game

No.

Can you post a screenshot of your sound settings in MSFS?

I’ve been flat out at work all week and this is the first chance I’ve had to reply. Here is a shot of my sound settings.

Here is an example of my system sound settings. You can see system is set to zero, yet this makes no difference and the music just continues playing regardless of what I set the system sound level to. The only way I can control whether music plays during load screen is to set the game to windowed, open the volume mixer, and adjust the MSFS2024 volume slider. This is why I have set music level in the game to 30, so it at least playing at a lower volume.

Finally, after I finish the game and close it, my system volume slider no longer makes any confirmation noises when I change the volume. I have to go to settings and change my sound scheme back and forth to get it working again.
