MSFS 2024 - How to disable rolling cache? I believe it's causing stutters

An issue with MSFS 2020 that many of us had where there would be frequent stutters was often fixed by disabling the rolling cache entirely. Since doing that the game has been stutter free for me for ages.

In MSFS 2024 I am seeing stutters again for the first time in a year or more, so I went to disable the rolling cache but I don’t seen an option for it in the menus.

Does anyone know how we might do this? I do believe it’s degrading performance for me

Haven’t seen anything to disable it but you can delete and re-create it if you see stutters. The bug (or inefficient algorithm) in 2020 happens usually only when the cache is full.

It will always inevitably fill up though won’t it? I’ve also seen people say performance gets worse with a larger cache which is counterintuitive.

Is there any recommendations for optimal size? I have mine at 100 GB
