In the case of the OP, it can’t find the path as you’re way off it. Hence with Direct To fixes it
On a side note, “TCAS STBY” make sure everything is set to Auto or On on the transponder panel. “PRED W/S OFF” is the switch in the middle of the weather panel on the centre pedestal next to you
Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?

What are the OP’s steps ?
Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
• I can’t get into HDG mode. When I press the button, nothing happens
If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:

Same here, Flightplan in FMC is perfect, no yellow issues, and the AP does still strike: it is possible to activate the “AP”, but NONE of the managed modes is possible to activate. Also annoying: the throttle calibration is lost ver5y time the sim is closed and has to be redone.
By the way…the AP de-activate warning sound does not stop, the pilote window does not properly close after opening…the whole thing has SO MANY ANNOYING BUGS …I regret the bucks invested in MSFS2024, because I won’t touch the Inbuidls A 320n not anymore before an update (and won’t buy any of their stuff). I regret also, because many 2020 ready planes are NOT working in 2024, allthough it was promised and I trusted… (f.i. FBW A 320, JF Jumbolino, Flying Iron Spitfire… ).
A20N doesn’t have any bugs in normal use as far as I have been able to find with many hours spent on it:
I’ve not had any issues with the throttle calibration but I’m on the beta for SU1 so maybe it got fixed on that
Managed modes require the flight directors to be switched on (FD button next to LS button you use for ILS landings) and also for the MCDU to be set up correctly
Autopilot disengage requires 2 presses of the disengage button - or press the red button on the flight stick. This is true to life. Simply pressing the autopilot master in the centre will trigger the alarm which needs silenced with the red button on the stick
The window is latched to keep it open in the event of a nose gear failure so that the pilot can get out. The latch must first be released before you can close it
I have also the same problem, all is set good but the AP isn’t following th flight plan, the hdg is stuck, doesn’t turn in auto mode and when I turn off the AP it doesn’t stop
plane: inBuilds A320neo V2
If the selector for heading is in auto, it will follow the nav path as entered in the MCDU.
Airbus philosophy is a push pull philosophy.
Pulling the knob out, towards you puts you in charge of the function, in this case putting the heading mode on, allowing you to control the direction.
Pushing the knob in, away from you, puts the aircraft in charge, which uses the MCDU entries.
All AP knobs in every model of Airbus work in this manner, although I’m not sure on the 300-310 series as I haven’t used those in the sim lately.
I know, but it’s alla bugged, I’m doing what u said and it doesn’t work, the alarm of the AP also it’s bugged because it doesn’t stop play after it deactivation, and also the thrust levers semms to not work proprely, if I put them like at 50% in the ECAM I receive a message of fault, and also when they’re at climb I think. I downloaded the A320 InBuilds because I thought it could be the streaming but that didn’t work, I also tried to install the FlyByWire MOD, and also there all of this stuff it’s bugged. I don’t know what to do
Likewise with the throttles, The Airbus has a position throttle. You need to put the throttle in the proper position.
In the real Airbus, there are detents (click spots) that the throttle would be moved into for the takeoff and flight phases.
Obviously there are no detents with a virtual cockpit, so you need to ensure you place the throttle in the correct position.
I would recommend you do some reading, or watch a vid on how the airbus works.
It does not work like most other aircraft.
