Was the wording intentional? ![]()
I did a few flights with MSFS2024 and exact the same flights with MSFS2020 and not one flight i saw a better scenery with MSFS2024. MSFS2024 scenery was blurry and has less relief in the ground scenery, lots of flat squares, tries and bushes on the waterlines. The scenery in MSFS2020 was more divers and crispy clear. For now, the world in MSFS2024 is quite disappointing, I also saw quite a lot of crumbled and distorted buildings and roads that cross over each other.
The performance is acceptable after i found the best settings for my configuration and i have almost no stutters or glitches.
One thing is less nice and that is that MSFS2024 locked at the end of a flight on the moment I go back to the main screen, ctrl/alt/del is the only possebility to come back on my desktop
This comment doesnt make any sense… so msfs 2020 was a flight game as well?
same hear been doing it since i started using msfs 2024
Also, but now MSFS2024 is more gamisch.
The Xbox market is more game orientated, therefore the game acpects are more intergrated into the sim. More and more game play less accurate flight dynamics.
I think that Microsoft want more sales on there Xbox with all kind of games.
Now there is a flight game that is according to Microsoft optimised for the Xbox.
I personaly think that this is not yet realized, because of all the complaince of the Xbox users.
I waited till Asobo released their first major patch before puchasing. I should have waited 5 or 6 months. Only thing i can tell works half way decent is the free flight. I could just keep playing MSFS 2020 for that feature. The list of things not right with this release are many. Career mode, braking, weather, turbulence and the list goes on. Has turned out to be a great big waste of time. After a two hour flight you get blown off the runway. you arrive at destination and there is no runway. You apply brakes and there are not any. Put this back in the oven for 6 months and call it 2025. Pretty obvious why people are hitting 2024 with so many negative reviews. I expected better from Asobo after the 2020 release but I suppose that was wishful thinking.
I think there was to much pressure from Microsoft to release it on time.
They better had renamed it in MSFS2025 and gave Asobo more time.
nope, the flight dynamics of msfs2020 were not compromised because of Xbox. The only thing that xbox brought was more game modes, but the mode for more serious flight simmers is the same.
Are you serieus?
My experience with identical aircraft in both sim versions says something different.
Microsoft stated that they have changed a important part of the flight dynamics.
Enhanced physics system allows 10,000+ rigid-body surfaces that enable the simulation of any shape of aircraft. So they have also changed the calculation.
Not for the better in my opinion and far from the much better flight dynamics of X-plane.
I had hoped, that Microsoft had improved this important part of the simulation.
Now it looks more as a game and not a flight simulation.
May I ask, are you a real life pilot, qualifications with regards to flight dynamics? Or is just your experience flight simulations? Only ask politely, because you sound as though you are a real life pilot!
I am not a real life pilot ( I dont pretend, although had 20 lessons on a real cessna 152 for my 40th, biggin hill, no sim felt like the real deal) I like learning from real world pilots, and I have read threads to say dynamics are ok compared to XP, from real world pilots.
I have only flown 3rd party Aircraft in MSFS2020/2024. Love them both..downloaded demo xp 12 to give it a go..not impressed.
I agree a lot of Bugs but my 3rd party Aircraft flys flawless with MSFS 2024, no Ctd colour is better. I cannot comment on stock aircraft (Aviators edition) so granted with the issues, but I have never flown Stock aircraft with MSFS.
I am a wannabe
As a real life private pilot I can telly you that while I enjoy MS flight sim it is only vaguely like the real thing. Flying a GA aircraft relies so much on the feedback you get through the controls, the rudder and by the seat of your pants. I fly from a GA airport with a major international airport to the east, a military control zone to the west and very specific entry and exit procedures. As a private pilot you are paranoid in not encroaching on the nearby control zones. MSFS provides a wealth of mapping assistance. A real PPL MUST navigate by visual reference to the ground and there are times where those references are not so easy to find. Flight models for GA aircraft are OK, but in the real world that is the least of your worries. So yeh. MSFS is good fun. But not real world.
Fs2020 is perfectly fine.
I do not understand your point. You can have that same paranoia of not wanting to encroach on the nearby control zones in msfs 2020 and msfs2024.
That has zero to do with xbox. The physics model was made more complex for msfs 2024 (what is the opposite of gamifying msfs). However, many prefer the more simplified model of msfs2020. Its the complexity that broken the experience for you not the simplicity.
For those unable to upgrade it is. I hear performance is better on those quieter servers as well.
More complex doesn’t automatically mean more realistic. The masses of the planes are still unreal in many cases as you can see from the almost arcade style roll rates of some planes.
This exact what i mean, but some think that the flight dynamics are great or even better in MSFS2024 then in the 2020 version.
Streaming on fibre Ethernet is great look at how good EGLL looks now in 2024
You can see why its one busiest airports in the world by how desolate it looks. Yes I was taxin in dark then something went wrong and i changed time to daylight and its a work site cool. I keep trying give 2024 a chance but its just so broken. It would be funny but i paid alot of money for this broken S…
