I have spent about an hour looking through the forum and cannot find a thread regarding my control setup issue below.
I hope anyone has an idea of what the issue might be. Thank you in advance!
ISSUE DESCRIPTION
Description of the issue:
I am trying to setup controls in MSFS 2024 but there is a lock on the “Presents config” all presets for “General Controls”, “Airplanes controls”, Specific XXXXX controls" have a lock on them. I cannot save any control configurations.
Another strange thing is that every time I start up MSFS 2024, then it asks me if I want to enable “screen narration”, choose graphics and assistance settings. I also get a message after completing above mentioned steps. It says “Oh ! We know you FSR#5630! Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 Marketplace content that has been purchased previously was transferred. To use it you must enable it in your Library which is accessible from the Marketplace.”
I have played MSFS 2024 a lot since launch, stopped in February but kept it updated and was about to start today again. But I never had to do this before. Not after installing sim update 2 either until now.
I have removed all mods (Only had planes from Aerosoft, Inibuilds & PMDG + Navigraph installed) and still have the issue. I have reinstalled the the game and still have the issue.
FREQUENCY OF ISSUE
Every time on sim load.
REPRODUCTION STEPS
Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:
- I updated my graphics drivers and the issue persists.
- I have restarted the PC and the issue persists.
- I removed all third party planes and apps and the issue persists.
- I unplugged all peripherals except mouse and keyboard and the issue still persists.
- I have re installed MSFS 2024 and its persists.
- I removed my career mode and the issue still persists.

[PC Only] Are you using Developer Mode or have you made any changes to it?
I have never used “Developer Mode”.
[PC Only] Many issues may be due to an outdated graphics card. Please state your Graphics Card Driver Manufacturer (NVIDIA, Intel, AMD) and Version:
I have a “Nvidia 3080 Suprim” graphics card with latest driver “576.88”. Tried with the previous but the issue was still there.
[PC Only] What other relevant PC specs can you share?
“AMD Ryzen 7 5800X”, “X570 Aorus Master” board, Watercooled CPU, 128 gb ram.
