As of just a few days ago I can no longer take screenshots. I have checked the steam settings (including “rebinding” to F12) as well as whatever I could find in MSFS 2024 (essentially nothing - there is no key binding option for screenshots). Anyone have any suggestions? I also opened dev mode which appears to only give me resolution options. No one ever confirmed this, but I swear Asobo makes unannounced tweaks on the server side which seem to cause new glitches. What works fine one day may mysteriously stop working the next.
Use Shift+windows+S - it works for me or “Prt Screen”.
I use reshade and have screenshots bound the the END key. It’s a nice one tap to catch a moment from a cool angle then back to flying. My issue with Shift+Windows+S is while you’re defining the area for the screenshot the sim doesn’t stop in the background which is fine if you’re on autopilot (although it can cause some weird behavior in certain planes) but not if you’re hand flying an appros h and want a nice exterior shot
You could press pause ‘P’ and then screenshot
Is that active pause? Never used it before
Just P on keyboard. It has always been available to me. I never set up anything to make it work. IN PC, dont know about XBox
Thanks all for your suggestions. I tried them all to no avail, except for shift+win+s, which opens the snipping tool and is awkward as hell. This is so odd; why does it (and many other things, like the smoke from the Wilga, ATC communication options, ad nauseum) work one day and not the next, with no changes to my system, no addons, and clean living?
Windows Key-Print Screen saves a screenshot of your current app to the pictures→screenshots folder. It’s all I’ve ever used for Flight Simulator
Yes, that worked and was more convenient that the snipping tool. I can always crop later. Thanks for this suggestion.
