I’m about to do a clean reinstall of MSFS 2024. Does anyone know where I can find the file that has saved my yoke and quadrant settings so I can copy them into my fresh install?
Is this even possible or is it not necessary because they’re saved to the MS cloud and will be saved?
They are saved in the cloud.
You can additionally backup the directory:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\SystemAppData\wgs\
It contains your settings but not everything is readable, and I wouldn’t copy it back after reinstalling. You can use it as reference if needed.
I recently did a uninstall and reinstall. I did not manually delete any other folders and my control settings were available after reinstall. Not sure if they come from the cloud or any folder that was left on my PC…
They definitely come from the cloud because I just a fresh format and windows install, then reinstalled msfs24, all my settings were as they were previously.
I did a fresh install earlier and all my binds and career was saved. Just had to re do my settings.
Just adding another reference point - I have done a fresh install and all my bindings came back automatically right where I left them.
Oh and career was right where I left it as well…
