MSFS 2024 - Support all new technology graphics - FSR3?

Hello, doesn anybody heard something that FSR3 will be implemented? In the Interviews a couple of weeks ago the Asosbo team said the simulator willl have the latests technologys like FSR and DLSS.
But I found only FSR2 like in MSFS2020.

It’s not supported and there’s no timeline for its implementation AFAIK.

Ok, I was able to enable FSR 3.1 without any issues, including Frame Generation.
It’s super simple:

  1. download OptiScaler HERE
  2. download Fakenvapi HERE
  3. open the folder with FligthSimulator.exe
  4. rename nvngx_dlss.dll to nvngx.dll
  5. edit nvngx.ini file and modify OverrideNvapiDLL=true (from auto)
  6. Rename OptiScaler’s nvngx.dll to dxgi.dll
  7. copy the 4 files you see in the screenshot from OpiScaler folder to FS folder

  8. run EnableSignatureOverride.reg from OptiScaler folder
  9. activate frame generation in AMD drivers panel
  10. start fs2024 and choose DLSS + DLAA
  11. you can’t click frame generation under DLAA. To start frame generation press INS on keyboard. Select 3.x from the first dropdownlist and click APPLY.

Just to anderstand you ride. The files in the picture are from the Fakenvapi at point 7 not from the OptiScaler package. Do I need the OptiScaler files like libxess, amd_fidelityfx_vk or amd_fidelityfx_dx12 or only the EnableSignatureOverride.reg?

The screenshot is my FS folder, so the final result.
You need to take 2 files from OptiScaler and 2 from Fakenvapi.

How is FSR 3.1 and frame gen working? Is it noticeably better than FSR2 in MSFS?

Is it also possible to only enable FSR 3.1 upscaler and not frame gen? Because I am using lossless scaling

Yes you can from the OptiScaler settings panel. (press INS on keyboard)

It works very well, I use it on a regular basis.
The best implementation in my opinion is Optiscaler’s.

about the step 9 activat/e frame generation in AMD drivers panel you mean turn on fluid motion frames 2 on the adrenalin software? cause for me is working without touching this I am not sure I am missing something

With latest drivers it’s working from the adrenalin panel.
I wrote the post before the release. :grimacing:

After copying the Optiscaler files, pessing INS still doesn’t bring any screen… :frowning:

In optiscaler. It’s an ingestion that overrides the adrenalin panel. In adrenalin activate fsr2

For me, FSR 3 made a big difference in image quality and stability. Optiscaler’s Frame Generation is also very good and seems to be better than Adrenalin’s.

It’s a shame it’s not natively implemented in the simulator. It should have been, right?

Tried with my 7900xtx and I’m getting a lot of shimmering when moving my head. I also had that when choosing FSR inside the sim.
