MSFS-2024 - Which HOTAS Are Fully Supported for PC?

I am a complete newbie and so I don’t have a clue as to what Hotas buttons need to be assigned to what controls. My current Hotas (Saitek X-55) is too ancient for 2024, I can’t even find drivers for Windows 11, so I need to re-invest.

Is there a list anywhere of the HOTAS or other controllers that are fully recognised by Flight Sim 2024 such that there is a game provided preset configuration?

You can assign however you want, it’s basically freestyle. Thats what I did. So in that sense, any HOTAS is compatible. The controls you want at your fingertips (especially in VR) might not be the ones they assign by default.

Thanks, I know I can assign functions, and inevitability, once I know a bit about what I am doing, I would expect to alter presets. I can’t use VR, it makes me physically ill as my eyes are odd.

But I am a real noob at this. I have no clue as to what settings might even work as I am trying to learn how to even get off the runway.

Knowing if there are fully recognised Hotas controllers with game preset starting profiles will give the complete novice a starting point.

Fair point! I would recommend the Airbus TCA stick if you want something non-military looking. That definitley has a profile. Quite cheap too. And then just any cheap throttle that takes your fancy to start out with. Although the joystick has a slider too that you can use as throttle if you don’t want to spend too much to start with.

If you like your X55 and it still functions well, you could use SpadNext. This would let you use the X55 fully with MSFS and is much cheaper than a new HOTAS

Spadnext? Is that something in the game?

Third-party.

I’m not a fan of Thristmasters, I say J.Favignano using and recommending the “T.Flight Hotas One” and for £89.99 I bought one. I purchased the MSFS edition which looks cool.

As long as you RTFM and follow the support page, you can get it working for MSFS 2024.

The only undocumented fix is to turn off the light above the X box button, by pressing said button.

It would be nice if these things worked out of the box, but then QC is an expense which is free when done by the end users

Is there a list of hotas with profiles as default?
