[MSFS Bush Pilots] The Silk Road Flight #4: The Zagros Mountains of Iran


Join us as we fly along the historic and fascinating Silk Road. We begin this series of flights in the ancient city of Byzantium, flying a variety of aircraft and missions through the spectacular landscapes of Central Asia, and ending at the historic capital of Chang’an. Come along! There are wonders to behold!

Flight #4: The Zagros Mountains of Iran

Starting from the ancient city of Baghdad we fly across the beautiful Zagros mountains into Western Iran. We will fly across desert and mountain, following roads, rivers, and canyons. Start up your favorite touring plane and join us!

Thanks for that recommendation. It’s looks fun, and super informative!

Our route is much shorter but still touches on the major areas. And it goes the opposite direction.

Flight #4 NOTAMS

:airplane_small: Weather. Partly sunny and cool with mild tail winds. Another great flying day.

:airplane_small: Time. A daytime flight will give us maximum visibility in this rough terrain.

:airplane_small: Aircraft. TBM900. The length of this flight requires a pretty fast plane to keep the time within 2 hours. We need to keep a 210-215 KTAS cruise speed.

:airplane_small: Notes. After a short tour of Baghdad we will head over desert to our mid-point landing spot, then it’s into the mountains for the rest of the flight. I think this is the best flight in the series so far. See you Wednesday!
