MSFS_C152 Community (V1.0.0!) - Updated: 09/10/2021

Was there any lift issue with the mod installed? I didn’t notice anything…

V0.9.6 - Oh dear, Asobo!
Make sure you delete the “MSFS_C152” folder from your “Community” then place this one in, do not overwrite it!
Changelog:

  • Updated to be compatible with the new “World Update 3” MSFS release!
  • Temp. fix applied to the flap settings (Thanks RetiredMan for this!)
  • Radio Stock/Avionics issue partial fix applied (Subject to change due to rewriting much of the animation codes)
  • Flight Model Changes
  • Copilot is now livery based
    • Choose a livery with “w/CP” on the end
    • To convert a existing Livery, open the relevent “aircraft.cfg” and add “copilot” into the "model = " section!
  • Liveries removed, a seperate pack will be available in the future!

I hope you enjoy!

Please advise what to do for non-functional radio , which only appears to flicker when ON. I cannot communicate with ATC.

Only my BCN lights are turned on.

Magneto to “START”

What am I doing wrong? Should magneto be to “BOTH” ?

  • Restart your flight sim if you’ve just updated to the World Update 3 release
  • Remove all Cessna 152 Liveries (to test)
  • If using external equipment such as the Saitek Panel/Honeycomb, switch the AVIONICS switch to OnN
  • try loading a flight again

Chances are, by the sounds of it, you have a livery which is interfering, some work, some have files within then that conflict!

I dont have any liveries but my avionics were set to off!

Will this new version be compatible with the community fix for the flaps issue, which peeps might want to keep for the other default aircraft?

Probably not, you will need to remove the C152 files from that mod pack!

Had that resolved it?

Everything looks o.k. in Groningen EHGG, but was it necessary to remove your beautiful livery?

Unfortunately, the community overruled my decision on that one… and asked for a separate livery pack rather than incorporating the liveries!
Once I get some time, I will make the separate pack with the Blue Metal livery!

I think this is something you people might want to check out!

Super … that is how it should have worked in the default sim in the first place !

It should have been, but now it’s a reality!
Hopefully be released very soon!

I don’t see where anyone responded - Yes, your magneto should be on Both once the engine starts. Otherwise the starter keeps turning and messes with the electrical system.

From cold and dark, if you have switched on the battery and aren’t seeing the frequencies displayed on the radios, you will need to turn the radio volume knobs clockwise to turn the two radios on.

Until you do that, you will not see or hear anything from the ATC window.

Hi there first off I think this mod overall is great. The flight dynamics feel really good however one thing I have noticed is that the P factor seems to be reversed, meaning that the ball is off to the left slightly in high power when it should be to the right given that the propeller is spinning clockwise. Just thought I would bring this to your attention.

V0.9.7 - Restructure!

Again, sorry to be annoying! I have actually restructure the mod please delete the MSFS_C152 folder & copy the jplogistics-c152 folder instead!
I’ve released this update a little prematurely, I had actually wanted to fix a few more issues first, but this is a Hotfix that needed to be public ASAP!

Ho

Thanks for all your hard work keeping on top of this!:+1:

Just installed and booted up this latest version of yours after the MSFS Hotfix.

However I noticed the ADF no longer switches on … anyone else noticed this?

Cheers

Ken

Yes apologies! This is a bug I didn’t mean to introduce!
There is a very simple fix (just to tie us over until I release the next version) which I announced on the Discord channel, please read the message below;

@everyone … I have been made aware of an issue with the ADF, once again I am so sorry for this! But there is a simple fix for now!

Feeling brave?
Only joking, if you want you should be able to fix the ADF yourself before I release an update in the next week

Instructions;
Got to the your community files and open JPLogistics-c152/SimObjects/Airplanes/Asobo_C152/Panel
Open the Panel.xml file, find the line that reads “<SimVar name=“CIRCUIT ON:35” unit=“Boolean”/>” under the ADF part

turn the “CIRCUIT ON:35” into “CIRCUIT ON:10”

Under the HourMeter turn the “CIRCUIT ON:35” into “CIRCUIT ON:2”

and it should work temporarily!
Restart MSFS and it’ll come alive!
