Lmao I went to increase the pilot weight on the tablet a little and it wouldn’t stop going up. Nothing I clicked would stop it. It got to over 10,000 lbs before I restarted the flight.

Took me a bit to figure out why my nav radio wouldn’t switch frequencies…had to turn the volume up on the GTN 750 first. Speaking of the GTN, it’s be nice if it turned off with the battery.

I’m absolutely loving this update tho! This is the first time I’ve wanted to fly the 152!

Mea culpa. RTFM

Anyone fly into icing conditions yet? You must. The exterior icing effect is incredible. The best I’ve seen on any MSFS aircraft. Outstanding work, bravo to the team.

On another note, I’m seeing very erratic readouts on the DME instrument. Sometimes it works fine, then it loses signal, often it only displays the distance (i.e., no speed readout), and other times the distance readout loses the decimal point and displays a completely inaccurate 2-digit distance to the VOR, then starts counting down the knots very, very fast. Perhaps something the developers can look at for possible future correction. I depend on this instrument a lot as I often use this aircraft for VOR nav.

OK I just realized that as far as the erratic DME distance readouts, it seems to be a problem with the decimal place, misplaced. When you’re less than 10 km from the VOR it will read 99. This is to be read as 9.9.

Only tried this for about 20 mins but, wow, what a fine aircraft this is now. An absolute beauty!

Thank you :+1:

Anyone know how to heat the engine quick? I’m impatient to fly this amazing aircraft. I think I was impatient before as I had the engine quit at 500ft AGL, I suspect the oil wasn’t heated correctly? Anyone got any tutorials they can pont out. Thank you.

Just gun it full brakes  it’s only a sim motor after all :+1:

You may have fowled the plugs if wb SIM have added that in now.

Is there a discord channel?

No, but you can ask a question in the flightsim.to download page comments section.

So … I tried this again at EGNM (UK) today and once on the runway and picking up speed the aircraft began to start wildly weaving everywhere despite extreme rudder action. I ended up trashing the AC and a couple of buildings too. I did walk away but non too happy tbh.

Couldn’t understand what the problem was. It was great yesterday. There was obviously an issue here with the mod, the sim or the rudder peddles. Tried a couple of other light AC and had the same problem.

And then, doh … It finally dawned on me (well, it is a Sunday!). I realised that I was using live weather and at EGNM it’s just a little bit windy today!

In my defence, I’ve been siming almost exclusively in the PMDG 737 for the last week or so (a bit heavier than the C152!) and had forgotten the effect of the sim’s wind on very light aircraft

Anyway, yes, the C152 mod is still great. My piloting skills maybe not so.

This mod comes better and better with the new releases.

Thanks WeptBurrito for keep this mod so great.

EGNM is my local airport (I live about 16 miles away) and yes, there’s a 30kt crosswind and rain up there today - the crows are flying backwards!

Hi anyone know how to get the starter working correctly on the saitek panel with spad next? I can only get the starter to turn over once, I have to do it with the mouse to hold the starter. I tried the xmlvar_magneto_stsrter_isheld but that didn’t work at all.

Try with simvar event, I think is starter held too.

From what I understand, from the 152 discord channel, there’s a bug in Simconnect where the “starter held” function doesn’t work correctly for programs like Spad or AAO.

The only work around I could figure out was to set it up appropriately in MSFS. Sorry, not at my sim computer right now so I can’t find the exact name of the event to bind.

Basically, on my Alpha, I have Off, Right, Left, and Both set via AAO, and then Start set via MSFS. A bit of a mess but at least it works. Hopefully a better solution comes along soon.

Are there any additional liveries that would work with the latest update? I would like to have a livery where I can change the register.

Ok thanks if you find the bind in msfs let me know :+1:

I believe it’s

SET STARTER 1 (HOLD)
