MSFS Can't connect to Internet

Hi guys,

since monday or five days my MSFS isn’t connecting to the Internet anymore. At first it couldn’t sync, so I installed the XBox App which installed the gaming services. Since that I only get “You are not connected to the Internet” window after MSFS launches.

I already tried to sign off MS Store and the XBox App, then reboot the PC, sign in to both services and then start MSFS but no luck. I also tried the XBox-Network options in the Windows-Settings with no results. The same applies to a disabled Antivirus software and disabled VPN.

Did anyone else had the same issue and could solve it?

Once the Sim is loaded, have you gone into Options, General Options and under Data ensured that everything is turned on to allow online play?

The sim doesn’t load, it gets me only to the screen “Press any button to continue” and if I do it the same window with no connection pops up again and brings me back to the welcome screen

Assuming everything else in your system is accessing the Internet just fine, you should check anything you or Windows has added or removed. Does anyone else have access to your computer? If just MSFS is not working, I suspect possibly security or firewall blocking. Or another application is using a network address that MSFS needs. Check the Windows Event Logs for any errors or security violations.

Did you ever manage to fix this? I’m having this now and I’ve tried many of the common suggestions such as via powershell reinstall of all MS Store components, network reset, ip reset and dns flush, Xbox App repair etc. Nothing works. The Xbox App/Gaming Services just refuses to connect.
