MSFS doesn't even depict the weather correctly using its own METAR

Using MS Store version.

Not using Dev Mode.

Looking at the METAR (provided by MSFS itself) and how MSFS depicts the weather based on this METAR, it’s not even close as seen below. I understand you can’t always expect to see the same weather for a certain location in MSFS as IRL but when you can’t even trust MSFS will use its own METAR info correctly, that’s no good.

Not sure if it’s reproducible but I’m parked at CYYR using live time and weather by the time of writing this post.

Two quick things here.

Please use the search feature. You will find lots of threads already dealing with this.

Second. The METAR you see is an actual METAR, not a sim generated observation.
There is a beta test running right now that is trying to address the integration of observed cloud/visibility with the forecast model.

When you say actual METAR, what exactly does that mean - what is the source?

After standing at the same position without touching anything, suddenly the depicted weather looks much closer to the METAR. So guess it was just a very slow update process of the weather after I loaded the flight.

There are multiple sources but they all have the same information.

A METAR is the published weather observation at the airport. Not all airports publish a METAR but they are part of our real world aviation weather system.
