MSFS freezes up and changes settings in the flight deck

Hello,
I’ve had this problem for some time now and it didn’t bother me that much until now.

When I don’t interact with the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 for some time (say like 5-10 minutes) and do something else on my PC(even when i just leave the sim and don’t do anything else on the PC) and i come back to the sim, i want to move around and then the sim freezes for some time. I can still hear the sounds but can’t move around or press any buttons. After like 20 seconds the sim resumes. Most of the time this is no problem.

But sometimes when the sim unfreezes some buttons and levers are moved and I have to manually reposition them to where they were (for example the gears get dropped). This is quite annoying but still doable.

Today however, it seemed like there were no changes to any settings so i let the simulator run again. About 1 minute later i go back from setting up my approach to looking at my instruments and see that the speedbrakes were deployed and the airspeed was almost to low. The airplane began to lift the nose and the plane stalled. I couldn’t do anything to save the plane. So i lost an 11 hour flight because of that.

Has anyone expierienced something similar, where the sim just freezes after inactivity and then changes random things around?

Or does anybody know what I am doing wrong here? Maybe its something in the settings of my PC or is it in the simulator?

thanks in advance, i got very mad because of this thing

Hi,
unfortunately I’m experience the same unstable behavior in MSFS 2020, 40th anniversary deluxe version. I have tried to change several general options including the experimental topics, with no luck.
I’m using Logitech X56 HOTAS and the unstable behavior focused on planes’ controls which are bidding to throttle part, only!!
I have no idea what’s going on but for sure is very annoying and frustrating while flying and trying to recover control when it happens and happens often!
I will keep tracking our posts, hoping that somebody founds the solution for this problem and reply.
I’m sorry that I didn’t give you much help, keep in touch

At least I’m not the only one with this problem. I also only get things changed that are binded to my Thrustmaster Throttle

My problem finally solved by changing usb port connection for my usb hub that I am using to connect HOTAS throttle control. I am convinced that the power supplied by the PC or Hub ports to usb controls units is the main reason for such interference to planes’ controls. I hope that shall works for you also, good luck!

That sounds very plausible, thank you very very much! I will try that.
