After downloading all official updates my MSFS will not start. It slows down to a crawl after selecting plane and airport, and eventually freezes up.
I have to close it in task manager (Win 11) I tried different planes, no difference, it must be the scenery. This screenprint shows the freezing point.

ok, wilco, but when I launch it -which I have done - it starts without any add-on stuff. Do I rename the folders back to normal for my next start up?

No. Upon the next start of MSFS, the community folder is corrected automatically, but the bug persists, so this cannot be the solution.
If MSFS runs without any add-ons but encounters issues when add-ons are installed, it suggests that one or more add-ons are incompatible, outdated, buggy, or causing conflicts.

Yes, again, this was the problem. I re-installed Rex Accu Season and made sure, no files went into the community folder, and voila (touch wood) the sim started normally.
