I have the same problem. Opening VFR map causes game to crash. Really annoying, happened many times.

I just downloaded forza off game pass yesterday. Might feel good to quit flight sim on nights it CTDs and come back another day. Also have CK3 if I want to go with another type of “simming”
I guess msft gave me some decent options if the product I subscribed for doesn’t feel good.

Never mind. MSFS is still fun and a relaxing and enjoyable game for the majority. More than 99.9% enjoy it, less than 0.1% seem to prefer to spend time here repeatedly complaining in almost every (according to the posters count).

It seems to me a lot of products nowadays are been rushed to market, quantity over quality.
The thing that bothers me the most is the alpha was much more stable to me so it’s beyond me how we’ve got to this point and why this sim is getting worst with every update. At some point the team will have to hit the restart button and stop working on future world updates and focus on fixing all the issues with sim.
The feeling I get is the team is doing quick patch jobs and burying serious issues that will make this sim more unstable as time goes on. Having an unstable foundation is never a good thing.

Have not used it for some weeks now and i did try again today, guess what…it’s even worse. They keep adding content while the systems don’t work, congratulations that is the way to go. Just going to uninstall it and try again next year.

And that’s why It’s the time for Micro$hxt to change their product from flight simulator to drone simulator .
Yes. I thought the days were behind us, where a game was coded in such a way that a minor game feature can crash anything beyond itself.
The press material made us believe coding prodigies were at work here.
At this point I’m thinking it’s much closer to a bunch of duct taped scripts.

Man, you’re right. Ever since the latest update, I’m unable to even get the engines in my CJ4 to stay running. If you go to outside view and back, the engines shut totally down. I think MS spent more time on the graphics than anything. You can’t even get a Sim to function properly!
last night i alt f4 out of the game when i seen the night lighting,
I installed fresh and tried the latest.
It’s not bad, definitely runs and looks better than I’ve seen so far, and a lot of small improvements that add up.
bush trips, landing challenges… all that stuff is now disabled for some reason. definite bug here.
I’d consider myself as big of a fan of this game as anybody. After the last update, I’ve given up trying to play it.
Works great for me. But I have a new PC and a great Internet connexion. Also I am only flying GA planes.
