I7 6700 cpu, 32gig ram, gtx 1660 super 6gig, 500 gig SSD, Windows 10.
MSFS asks for a new NVIDIA driver (older version than what is installed). Runs great no stutter, 34 fps.
One problem. When a new window appears, it loses focus. No mouse response. No other open windows.
I have to to the task bar, minimize the window and select it again on the task bar. Becomes active again.
Anyone have a clue? Thanks.
If I inadvertantly swap to a new window in Windows I loose the mouse. I need to change the active window back to MSFS and then the mouse is active. If you have an app that opens a new window while MSFS is running, that would cause the loss of focus.
Thanks,
For anyone out there!
I have 2 PCs running MSFS on each with WidevieW communicating with MSFS. Server is the main MSFS, the client displays left and right views.
I share keyboard and mouse on each PC.
When I switch from one PC to another (doen’t matter which way), MSFS’ windows lose focus. I have to minimize the MSFS window and reopen it to focus the window and allow mouse communication.
Is this a bug or do I not have something set up correctly?
Are you using Developer Mode or made changes in it?
No

Yes, uninstalled and installed MSFS on both PCs and an empty Community folder.
Brief description of the issue:
Using WidevieW with 2 PCs and two different MS accounts. When Switching the mouse and keyboard between PCs, the MSFS window loses focus until the window is minimized and restored. All other windows of apps in Windows 11 do not lose focus.

Because you are actually taking away focus from MSFS when you move the mouse to the other PC. This happens even on a local machine if you open another application…you take away focus from MSFS. It even happens if you are running multiple displays and you move the mouse to another display.
This problem exists since FSX era. The application runs borderless window, not true fullscreen, so you will face the same situation when clicking on a second monitor or when any other window is being launched by you or by any app outside game (e.g: an update notification from another app running on the background which includes a dialog box).
Losing focus also means that rendering is not getting priority, which will affect performance. You always need to clic back on MSFS game (anywhere) to restore the focus.
Cheers
I think you’re absolutely correct. MSFS loses focus.
In my experience, however, it loses focus repeatedlt during loading, and when it loses focus during a flight, no amount of clicking will bring it back into focus.
