You will note the gap requiring me to manually drag down the bottom edge of window so that I can show the top title bar with minimise/maximise/close options:
The standard way to make a window’s size “stick” is to first arrange it how you want it. Then hold down Shift while closing the window with the X.
Of course, this will close the sim in a non-graceful manner, and when you next open it you’ll have to click Start in normal mode.
Another way was to right-click the taskbar and then “Tile windows” with only the one window open. Windows 10 calls it “Open windows side-by-side”.
The way some applications are written, these tricks won’t work, and MSFS may be one of them; I’ve never tried it, and I’m not at the pooter right now. If so, a quick google may find you a workaround.
I had the same problem. I have 3 screens in the order 1,2,3. In the display settings of Windows I moved #3 (where my MSFS was on after SU11) to be in between 1 and 2. Click Apply. 1,3,2 was the new order.
That fixed the problem for me. I then moved 3 back to its original position.
Off course if you only have 1 screen this won’t work but then temporarily change the resolution of the screen.
Thank you for all your help and noted to use Community Support.
I ended up overnight doing a MSFS Reset which is essentially a reinstall . The problem has gone away. Actually the reset fixed a couple of other minor issues - not a bad idea from time to time.
Thank you for your suggestions which I shall note in case this occurs again.
