MSFS Stuck on checking for updates after Steam update for SU12, and still stuck after updating sim to SU12

Brief description of the issue:

Stuck on Checking for updates screen. Happened the first time I tried to load the sim after the Steam MSFS update. I managed to get past it after disabling internet, starting sim offline, then reconnecting to internet after long loading wait. Sucessfully updated to SU12, but now after SU12 update the sim again gets stuck on checking for updates.

Build Version # when you first started experiencing this issue:

1.31.22.0 and previous build before sim SU12 but after Steam MSFS update.

Yes.

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:

After the update the game is always stuck on checking for updates. Only way pass that is to disconnect internet and go ofline mode and then conncet again.

Yes but I have it on Microsoft store.

Could not update to sim update 12. Uninstalled the game and reinstalled it. Update 12 was installed successfully but when trying to start the next day it got stuck on checking for update.
