MSFS window focus and stuttering

I’ve noticed that when MSFS window is not in focus I’m getting great performance - everything is smooth and looks great.
However, once the MSFS is in focus, I’m getting significant stutters.
The problem is that I cannot use mouse and keyboard when the MSFS window is not in focus.
Anybody has this problem?
Any suggestions for a workaround?

Reverb G2, 2070Super.
I use 457.30 driver.

Yes, you’re not alone, I have the same issue. I also have a 2070S. Running the latest Nvidia drivers but it was also happening on 457.30 with SU6.

Hey, I’m using the HP G2 with a GTX1080 and have good clarity and performance. For the driver, I tried using the most current Nvidia drivers and ended up rolling back to 471.96. The latest drivers since 471 have degraded my performance, I haven’t tried 496.76 yet. I did spend a full day goofing around with the graphics settings and found what I consider satisfactory clarity and performance.

Same issue here but with pimax 8k plus. And windows 10. Was this resolved?

This is a huge problem for me. With panels connected through Spad.Next I’m noticing that when the sim is in focus the panels have horrible performance. When I click anywhere outside of the sim on my second monitor, performance is great. This is a killer for anyone building their own cockpit.

I notice this too :open_mouth:

Hi, this is a problem of microsoft since many many years. They didn´t find a good solution yet. I open a second window for my hardware MCDU and have a loss of round 30 % !!! It is only a second window with nothing on it… only a few letters … hellfire …

And it is hard to get more fps with screwing down settings!!! I fly normaly all on ultra (3090), vsync on, 30 fps locked … big airports no problem … with second window -30%. Setting all to high, makes no difference … second hellfire … ahhrggg …
