So now that MSFS2024 has come out and I’ve been experimenting with it, I just have to go back to 2020 until some things get resolved on Xbox.
I noticed that the Blacksquare analog King Air is available now on Xbox. If I buy it now in 2020, will it be available in 2024 too?
I know that was the case for previously purchased items but now that 2024 is live is that still the case or do I need to wait for the new MP in 2024?
I have both 2020 and 2024 installed and working. There are things I’d like to buy right now from the 2020 Marketplace to use in 2024 … so if I buy something in 2020 now will it also show up for use in 2024? Immediately or sometime down the road?

Yeah that’s what I’m asking. All of my previously purchased add-ons transferred over from 2020 into 2024. But I’m wondering if I buy the Blacksquare King Air in 2020 now, will it go straight into 2024, will there be delay, or will it even transfer over at all? I don’t want to waste $40.
Can confirm that MP Black Friday sales items are transferring. Just picked up Got Friends Mini 500 and COWS DA42. Both turned up in my 2024 library on the next start up. (PC, Steam)
MY Simworks RV-14 and Zenith Ch 701 all transferred over to the new sim just fine. Never thought of using the 2020 marketplace sale to get 2024 planes, lol.
Fantastic, as I have reverted back to 2020 and have had my eye on the King Air…will now buy it.
I’ve gone the other way. I just purchased the BlackSquare Piston Duke directly from JustFlight as a download. That way it lives in my Community folder, and I have control over whether it appears in the game or not, for either FS2020 or FS2024 when I eventually decide to buy it.
No addons from Just Flight are currently compatible with FS2024. The Black Square developer specifically has confirmed none of his addons are compatible yet, but he’s working on it. There are some issues on the Asobo side he’s waiting on as well.
You are right thanks for mentioning that. I guess what I really want to make sure is that when they are available in 2024, that my 2020 purchase will come over. I’ve heard devs maybe be charging to update to 2024 which is fine but I don’t want to completely repurchase.
