Gday fellow Simmers. First of all I will apologise in advance for this question and I hope the boredom of reading it doesn’t make your eyes bleed.

For the past few months I have been building a cockpit sim for the vision jet by FlightFX
I have invested loads of time money into it only to realise my trusted laptop cannot run the 6 screens that are needed for the sim.
The sim has a PFD a MFD 3 X GTC touch controllers and then the main viewing screen.

my poor laptop is a MSI GV72 RE
and even with 2 x startech devices that can have 3 x HDMI ports on each the laptop can only display 2 screens plus the laptop screen. …

and using 2 x screens with a startech hub just for the PFD and MFD messes up pop out manager. with panel errors. they don’t open whre they should. maybe the split signal from the startech is messing them about, I just don’t know.

What I would like to know is, if there are any laptops out there, at a reasonable price that are capable to run my sim.

If not a laptop I am prepared to go to a Tower.
and what would you recommend in the way of hardware for a tower to be able to run all this.

Nice setup! But I would steer away from a laptop. Your setup is hardly portable and laptop GPUs - even those carrying the name of their full sized counterparts, are going to disappoint driving that many displays. In for a penny, in for a pound, I’d say. Tower is the way to go.

thanks for the reply. what would you recommend in the way of hardware. ?

Very nice setup! Like the other person said go for that tower if you can :wink:
