MSFS2020 Crashes after computer reverted back to factory settings

OK, guys. I’m literally at my Wit’s End. I could not get my MSFS2020 to run. My Patreons want to see MSFS2020 flights over MSFS2024 because it looks more realistic to them, and the engine views and wing views are easier to create on playback. MSFS2020 kept crashing to desktop after loading half-way. Xbox said it was a Microsoft issue, Microsoft said it was an XBox issue; after going back and forth between both of them 2 more times, they said it was probably a computer issue, like I had R/R MSFS2020 but I hadn’t removed one of my add-ons correctly first. So I took my computer in to be professionally wiped back to be Factory Restored and started from scratch. At first, it worked! Yay! I only loaded it to the hangar screen. That was at supper time. So I grabbed a bite, and came back to it. That’s when it happened. It loaded up half-way, then it crashed again. I did it 3 more times, but it crashed again and again and again. I messaged Microsoft and XBox again. They took my trouble-ticket, but did nothing with it. So I’m reaching out again to the true professionals. Any help, please? I’m about to lose all of my clients. I’ve already lost about a third of them because of this.

I recommend editing usercfg.opt file and changing DX11 to DX12.

To do this, you need to edit usercfg.opt file and modify the line
PreferD3D12 0

Change the number 0 to 1

and save the changes.

Sorry to sound like a newbe, but can you tell me where I can find that file?

Type %localappdata% in the Windows search bar and press the Enter key.

Then navigate to Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache

While in the LocalCache folder, right-click the UserCFG file and choose Open with > Notepad

Edit the line
PreferD3D12 0

Change the number 0 to 1

After making changes in the file, at the top of the window click File > Save
