Hello, updated yesterday after being overseas since Jan now 2020 rendered useless. Unable to save controller settings and crash to a white screen when trying to further install essential packages later on. Would some kind soul please point me in the direction of some further info to fix the issue thanks. msfs-2020.Also I should add, I’ve checked the Usercfg.opt and its write access enabled. I run the msfs202.exe as administrator and I’ve changed the DX from 11 to 12 and I’ve deleted the Nvidia app. all these to no avail. there’s something deep inside that 16.1 has altered. Further, I have done a complete delete and reinstall from the MS store and zero community folder content. So, right now, I’m out of ideas
Are you on MS store using the Xbox app?
That has caused problems for me in the past. Had to update the app.
I have updated everything that can be updated, reinstalled 2x., repaired and reset via windows system-i’m out of ideas now. I guess its just not compatible anymore with my win10 system. If I was a synic, id say its a ploy to get me onto 2024!

Run the following commands (w/admin rights) and when all completed successfully and without error/s. In the following order:
Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /checkhealth
Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /scanhealth
Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /Restorehealth
sfc /scannow
Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /AnalyzeComponentStore
Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup
RESTART computer as the last step.
Thanks. I resolved the issue. MS needed age verification before Any cloud saves were allowed.
I don’t know if it was a smart thing to do but I got rid of Onedrive after watching several videos and reading many comments on the subject.
I seriously don’t think I need it.
