Hi , that was a typo, now corrected, thanks
A330 climbs through cruising altitude and just keeps going if you make any alterations to the flight plan (specifically the SID I think) during the climb
I deleted an altitude constraint while I was in level flight as ATC was going on at me to climb. Then pushed the altitude knob to climb and once it reached cruise it kept going up
A friend did a direct to during a climb and got the same thing
Anyone else having this happen?
Haven´t tried it but what i did try was climbing above the MAX FL and it surely does.
The RECMAX FL doesnât mean the actual max altitude, it is the recommended max, but it can be exceeded in flight
Roger, thank you!
Yeah it is not a bug, just not something that was modeled. It wasnât a problem with the A320 since most routes are 1-2hr, but when they came out with the A300/310 then it was more apparent because people started doing long haul. They said it wasnât in the plans to add to the A300/310/320 but was in consideration for msfs2024âs A330 and perhaps they could patch the logic back to the other airbuses. I guess they scrapped those plans. I will have to dig around the IniBuilds forums to see if theyâve mentioned it again since 2024âs launch.
I thought the A310 pre-dated the A320neoV2 and the fuel-consumption-rate bug was inherited through the entire family. If it is actually ânot modelledâ, then itâs an awful oversight and an excellent candidate for a wishlist item. This, to my knowledge, is a problem unique to iniBuilds and their AIRBUS stable.
