On a scale of 1-10 (with 10 being best), how do you rate your Overall Enjoyment of this aircraft?
First of all, I am super happy to finally have a good representation of the A400M in flight simulation.
I was wondering if there were plans to release some liveries for this aircraft? I am particularly interested in the registration CT-01 (Luxembourg Armed Forces) or any german air force livery.
Hoping in this one tomorrow for the first time, very excited.
I haven’t found a way for the A320 or A321 to import a flight plan from the new EFB or flight planner. Does this aircraft have a method to get this done or should I look to simbrief?
Edit: Doesn’t look like there is a simbrief profile that I can find
Beautiful aircraft, but there is a problem with the flight plan entry. Every time I enter an ILS into the FMS, all displays freeze. I have tried repeatedly, but it happens every time. Can anyone confirm?
I have just completed my first flight in this aircraft (EDFH-EPRZ). It appears to be a rather accomplished model. I really like it. The systems appear to work well and the visual model is excellent. I definitely will be flying this aircraft again. Sadly the sim froze when I pressed escape after landing.
Xbox SX.
Previously have had a number of attempts to load load but this always crashes the SIM. I can however run 737, vans something or other, carenado bonanza, Carenado Archer II etc.
Today I deleted the SIM, and reinstalled.
Tried loading A400 into random area of sky in UK nowhere near an airport: loaded to start button, pressed start and all I could see was black cockpit and heard engines. No movement at all. Waited 2-3 mins. SIM is locked, had to kill App and restart sim.
Despite multiple attempts over several days i have never actually flown this one.shame.
*Edit, thought my lad had played the pmdg, apparently not
Great aircraft, probably my most flown so far. My only issues so far
Tail NAV light is as bright as a landing light.
Unable to get Formation lights to work
The aileron FBW stability is far too strong. I understand that it is correct behaviour of the real aircraft, its just too strong. Every roll input is immediately stopped when you release the controls. Its so strong, it makes the roll axis feel like its “on rails” and perfectly stable. It feels like the aircraft just ignores any wind and makes small adjustments on approach feel horrible.
Whenever I select DIR TO any waypoint, the aircraft will suddenly select 126kts and ignore any previous speeds set in the flight plan, such as cruise speed. For example: Cruising at 263kts indicated with managed speed. Select DIR to next waypoint. Managed speed is now aiming for 126kts. Cruise speed is still selected correctly in the PERF page and hasn’t changed. Unable to resume correct cruise speed.
I’ve had a few good flight with this one. So far my fav in 2024.
Does ctd when you press ESC after landing. Took a while to figure out
radios. FMS seems to work OK for me, ini has a web page on how to use it. Formation lights do work. Shows a lot of potential. Need some more liveries.
Has anyone see this strange HUD in VR? It’s locked to the center of my view, much like the old OpenXR Toolkit FPS counter, ie. as I move my head it moves with me.
If I assign the speedbrake it does it exactly vice versa and not according assignment. I mean I deploy it but it retracts it. According assignment it is correctly assigned.
