In Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 - Announce Trailer, the instrument panel has this configuration, has anyone managed to find this model? I loaded all the H125 variants and couldn’t find it.
Are there any real versions of tbe H125 with a Garmin? Or did they just throw in a Garmin and then make a big fuzz about adding trim to the thing because the orginal doesn’t have it?
Edit: I found some photos online of H125s with glass, but not quite in the same configuration as in the Asobo trailer.
A certain production run of B3s were equipped with a Garmin G500H. I’m not sure what the latest production standard is anymore.
I’m sorry to repeat the question, but since you are talking about Garmin: Does anyone know how to bind the controls of the GTN650 included in the H125?
I would like to ask for help. I would like to program the throttle “idle” “flight” position control on the game controller. Currently I can only control it with a “mouse”, but I want it with a joystick.
Which command should I program it for?
Thank you
There currently is no binding for that
Yep, you have to chose the helicopter (H125 in your case) and find this in the command settings
Sorry it is in French, but sure you will translate !
It is in the section “'Not categorized”
And you have two buttons to asignate : “flight” and “idle”
Sometimes tail rotor axis which is mapped to my rudder pedals it is very sensitive in the beginning of a flight causing either crash or very jerky movement.
I have checked and there is double mapping, anyone else experienced?
Is there any way to enable instrument’s lights on H125? I tried turning both knobs on instrument panel (above FLI) and flood light knobs on overhead panel, but I find it hard to read the numbers on certain lighting conditions (bright sunlight outside produces dark shadows that make the numbers really dark). Just in case I also tried enabling Landing Light and Taxi Lilghts on collective, that also changes nothing.
I am not talking about FLI necessary, because it is usually readable on Day setting by the way (although I remember it was hard to read on sling load certification exam)
The knobs are for the analog instruments, and they work well for me. However, the digital instruments that display the torque are a bit jerky to adjust. There’s a knob for day/night settings, and then there are two buttons next to the displays that control the brightness. These are the first two buttons from the bottom.
This is what it looks for me. I don’t see any backlight at all
(Please ignore FLI, I am not talking about FLI)
If I remember correctly the analog instruments lights can only be adjusted in night mode. Hopefully someone with more knowledge will answer your question
… (apparently) just like the actual H125’s lights. According to Martial’s little meltdown on the dev stream.
And I won’t mention the turn-and-slip indicator.
I just checked and you are right. It works in Night Mode (not that it’s visible during day, and even if it was FLI is too dim even with Brightness + maxed out). That’s too bad, because I really don’t like how it looks at the moment. I will have to play with Nvidia Freestyle and adjust things with filters
EDIT: Turn and slip indicator was an issue in 2020 too, wasn’t it?
It’s a shame that all those things are still present, and Career bugs make that mode so annoying it boils my blood every day, if there is any fun it’s overshadowed by bugs. I don’t know how fixed wing missions work, but SAR and crop spraying are basically unplayable for me (target in between trees).
Flight Model feels so good, visuals are there too, so I am optimisic for the future at least
It works, thanks!
I played the career mode alot in the beginning but I got so frustrated and mad. I finally stopped and got back to free flight. Suddenly the sim felt very good with no annoying bugs. I will stay away from the career mode until it’s fixed.
Not worth spending time in it when it makes you frustrated.
Maybe they focusing on bugs that effect most people and I think most doesn’t fly helicopters.
But the career bugs like agriculture truck platform being to small and not leveled. The sar missions landing spots in slopes and dense forests are so easy bugs to fix.
Maybe I will try agriculture again now when ground effect bug over raised platforms are fixed.
I came here to ask this.
It appears that not only having no transponder it has no way to tune the nav radios.
It seems they are taking VFR only to an extreme
They need to fix the issue with fast forward flight requiring almost full forward cyclic. It’s been commented by many real world helicopter pilots that this is not realistic for the H125 or any other helicopter.
Quick trim helps for now.
