[MSFS2024] Airbus Helicopter H125

Tried it with the last SU1 Beta and sadly doesn’t work there. You get two GTN in one Screen displayed.

Please make sure you are using the latest version from the releases page, file named r-h125-gtn650-1.2.zip.
I haven’t tested it with the latest beta update yet, but it worked with SU1 beta earlier. Will check later today.

Yes, I checked just now with current SU1 beta version, and it works fine, nothing changed. Please make sure you downloaded the correct version of the addon as indicated in my above post, and if the problems still persist, please try to give some more information, which variant/livery did you choose, and make a screenshot of the problem.

For some reason, the cable operated rotor brake does not function unless the battery is set to “on”

Seems to work now, but with Backlight set to 1 it looks still too bright. On your pictures it isn’t that bright.

Anyone have issues with the windscreen in this heli? I find it makes everything outside really overexposed and look terrible. This is in VR not sure about normally. I have to tone it down using post processing in the OpenXR toolkit.

Too bright for me too. I can’t even see the option to reduce backlight. Um using the free version of the PMS GTN and the latest version of the @RandolfL mod

Yes, unfortunately after SU1 it does that. Doesn’t help even if you turn down brightness in the GTN settings. Didn’t find a way yet how to fix it. This is most likely not a problem in the sim, but in how my mod is put together :frowning:

Edit:
Also I’ve heard that it works for some people, maybe because of some specific graphics settings :person_shrugging:

Yes, I have the same problem.
It’s becoming a problem in my wrist over time.

@JensSippel The H125 has been updated an trim is working now.

You have to bind a key to ‘quick trim’. When you fly hold your cyclic forward until you reach stable flight. Then press and hold the button assigned to ‘quick trim’ and move the cyclic back to the middle. Now let go of the button

You can also bind a reset key or simply do the above explained procedure but while pulling the cyclic backwards, to reset the trim

With SU2, is it more like the FS20 trim now?, and more difficult to make fine adjustments?, I am always overdone, or too much or little in each touch. The collective now have more progress with buttons touches also that is better I think maybe.

Maybe all helicopters now?

I just tried yesterday in the unlocked career of SU2 to do a sea-rescue, wou, so unpleasent untrimmable, the heli nervous, and hovering over the sea in VC and even in VR was a circus of laughs, impossible almost haha, this is 10000% more difficult than in reality, and even if real pilots state that this helicopter it isn´t so brave to pilot it…

It is need it other thing or visual to help or to have a outside reference, or try to learn to pilot it in the external view, and for getting things worse the crane is on the opposite side and less visibility in VC hahaha. Here the H225 and its autopilot to hover it is a must.

The worst issue with this helicopter still remains and you need full forward cyclic in cruise. Hopefully this will get fixed in the next beta update.

Totally agree. It’s the only helicopter I need to use quick trim on. It does help to make it enjoyable to fly without having to hold the cyclic forward.

I’m really struggling how to set the NAV radios on this aircraft.

There are no options on the GPS to change to vloc or change the frequencies. Combined with no dials to adjust them.
Why have the gauges if the aircraft doesn’t support it

You can set the NAV frequency on the Garmin 650. Click on the lower right knob to change from Comm to NAV radio. Use the inner and outer knobs to set the frequency and then click on the active frequency on the touch screen to swap. NAV 1 will track the VOR or the ILS LOC/GS on the HSI.

As real pilot with tons of experience on H125, I hope that Asobo/MS fix these issues with this bird.

Usually you don’t need more than 15-20% if the cyclic forward to get 120-125kt of speed.
Also the collective don’t make FLI oscilate too much like now in MSFS. Hope they fix these issues to make H125 the best helicopter in 2024.

Another question is it’s export not been possible, even for make community build liveries, we don’t need all the 3D model, just fuselage would be awesome.

And a big issue that I hope to be fixed too is the possibility to make auto rotation. tried a lot and the RPM don’t come back to normal NR if you turn off the engine. IRL it’s soo easy to administrate the RPM to get you safely in the ground.

Look forward!

This is a very good helicopter … however there are still some mandatory fixes that need to be implemented.

  1. The timing of the ignition procedure is completely wrong: too many seconds pass from when you press the ignition button to when the engine starts to make sounds.

  2. From Flight to Idle: The engine RPM reduction must be much faster

  3. Shutdown sequence: too slow … no clear shutdown sound

This video is very clear :

You don’t. Assign a button to “Quick Trim”. Put the helicopter into an attitude that you like. Hold the Quick Trim button, center the cyclic, release Quick Trim Button = trimmed.

Yes, but that’s more of a walkaround. It still doesn’t solve the main issue.
