I have flown this aircraft A LOT on MSFS2020, there was some bugs that I reported to Inibuilds on their discord and they never fixed them (Navigator DME, bad performance of the sim only with this aircraft, ADF using TRUE degrees instead of MAGNETIC,…)

And… yep, it’s totally broken on MSFS2024. More info here:

Worked great for me. Some lighting issues in the cockpit that are present across the sim.

Fly it for more than 15 minutes and I guarantee you that you will get to the conclusion that this aircraft is really broken.

In the first 5 minutes, it seems it works fine, but no. Everything starts going crazy after ~15 minutes of flight

Hello there,
I don’t know if Asobo is looking at this topic but I’d like to add my little touch to the edifice.

The Antonov 225 in Flight Simulator is great and thanks to the Asobo and Inibuilds teams for bringing it to us.

Here are a few suggestions that I think would be a big plus for this aircraft:

- Completely revamp the soundscape
In fact, the soundscape, whether cockpit sounds, engine sounds or packs (which are non-existent when the APU or engines are switched on), is very poor.
The aircraft’s 2 APUs completely cover the sound of the 6 engines in exterior view, which isn’t exactly top-notch.

I think that, even if the aircraft unfortunately no longer exists, it’s possible to recover quite a lot of sound from its little brothers, the Antonov 124s.

- Trim sensitivity
Since the release of this aircraft on MSFS, the trim has been far too sensitive! One small pressure on it and the aircraft pitches up abruptly and violently.
The same goes for engaging the autopilot! The aircraft pitches up violently and tries as best it can to calibrate to the climb rate assigned to it.

- Take-off performance
Even though we’re light on fuel and weight, the aircraft has an unfortunate tendency to take off on its own after VR, which is not the case with the real thing.

- Maintenance system
Considering what Inibuilds offers today on these aircraft, it would be really cool to have a small maintenance system for engines, for example, or for replacing the aircraft’s tires.

The Antonov 225 was a garage in itself, capable of repairing itself in almost any situation, and it would be really cool to have a system of this type, based on the A300 for example.

All in all, this aircraft, which I repeat is fine in its current state (on FS20), could do with a little help to make it even better, and above all to add an immersion that is not present today on what we have.

I’m obviously not talking about the various bugs (there’s enough of a topic on that).

Yeah its been almost a year and many planes are abandonware at this point, like even the planes that were “new” for the premium deluxe edition like the C17 show no signs of life just complete disregard for the customers that paid upwards of 200 dollars!

It’s pretty funny to me that they put this plane front and centre on the Marketplace icon on the 2024 main menu screen, and the bleeping thing doesn’t even work! :rofl:

I haven’t heard anything on this. Is there an ETA for the AN225 in MSFS2024?

Nothing specific but there has been a bit of information about the aviator edition planes (which include the An-225) in general during the last dev stream.

Working Title has started working on those and at some point during that stream Jörg said something like “not all of them will be 2024 native but they should at least work“ (46:44).

So I guess there is hope.

I thinks this is the minimum, just a mark of respect for those who paid more than 200$ for having more functional planes

As they are selling this edition again for PS5 users, respect is probably dead

I don’t think so. I think they believed that the intended backwards compatibility would be better and that they didn’t expect those problems. I definitely don’t believe that they planned to sell broken aircraft and I don’t believe that they didn’t have the intention to fix them after realizing the situation. But then again, I believe that they are not bad people - rather the opposite.

However, look at it this way: Selling that edition for PS5 again at least puts pressure on them to fix them rather sooner than later - these aircraft have to at least work this time. :grin:

A couple of issues to add to this threat about the AN225..
First off, when using the keyboard function when entering a waypoint into the GPS if you backspace to much the GPS gets stuck on a specific coordinate in Israel that it thinks is being put in when non of the 5 character positions are filled in.
Second, Setting the TCAS on the transponder to TA or TA/RA results in a wasm crash of about 95% of the instruments and it is no longer possible to control the aircraft in a normal way

After watching FSExpo 2026, and especially the section on the Boeing 707-320C, it’s possible that the AN-225 will receive the UNS-1 system in the future because the 707 will have it. I’m not stating it 100%, but it’s a possibility.

I have one important tip (to devs),

this is first and still only old RU era airplane, also with very historic potential. I feel this Inib version as very good from FS2020 so it will be very sad to leave this airplane not finished for 24 version. Sad for Tu134A to not started on sim… All my favorite.
