[MSFS2024] Boeing 737 Max 8

Sorry for the dumb question, but did you remove the Pitot covers?

For me the Plane works and flies, but with some Bugs. Did 2 flights on it.

Max is a terrible aircraft even for default fidelity. I have tried to fly it 4 times now and every time CTD. Try to change the livery = CTD, Try to close the doors for pushback = CTD
 How has anyone who ever tested this plane been able to even get it up in the air from cold and dark???

the aircraft climbing ability is abysmal and does not reflect world performance of a 737 max. VNAV is totally broken because of that. The only way to climb is through VS at +1000 if you are going to make it for FL. cost Index doesn’t seem to impact the performance of the aircraft at all.

FO panel is incorrectly displayed.

So many bugs, the internal lightning is complete ridiculous, the Ground Power switch does nothing, the Apu and Engine bleeds don’t work as intended

It’s impossible to understand the weight+balance+cg and trim it accordly, its profile in flight planner website has wrong zfw and max pax values
 As all the other Asobo default aircraft.

At least I can thank Microsobo for all this #### and thank me for testing it in an almost free 30-day game pass period that will not be renewed.

Because of the AMAZING actual sim state I was tempted to test X-plane 12 and it’s so weird to have everything working like it should that I’ll probably never try MSBS24 again

Always getting a CTD when choosing or flying the MAX 8 on my PC, but no such issue on my Xbox Series S.

Do you have any addons in your community folder?

Yeah, lots of bugs with this aircraft. Some have already been mentioned, like the engine bleed/pressurization issues. VNAV doesn’t seem to work at all. Trim seems to be way too fast. GPWS is broken. There’s no way to push the reset button on the Minimums selector, nor does there appear to be any way to push the STD button on the altimeter. TFC button doesn’t work. EFB performance calculator doesn’t work. This list is just the results of a couple of hours trying to get the aircraft to fly from one place to another.

I did run into an issue where I couldn’t get the generator for engine 2 online, but I wasn’t able to reproduce it the second time around.

I liked what they’re trying to achieve with the EFB but it’s a mess.

A few larger 3rd-party airports, all MSFS 2024 compatible in my community folder.

Well from what I could see, yes. I had done a full walk around and nothing left from what I could see

Edit: not a dumb question, I think lots of ppl would forget that :sweat_smile:

One of them may be your cause, it would be worthwhile to try with them removed!

Will give that a go and see!

is there any way to make the transponder work in this one? ai autopilot and atc are driving me crazy

Yeah, I’ve been having this issue as well, I hit CLR and type in numbers, but it doesn’t change it stays at 2000.

Try changing the first transponder button from 1 to 2 and back to 1 and it’ll assume the number you were assigned
 just one of thousand bugs in this ■■■■
 the only thing that works like it should are the always fantastic working title nav system

One thing that also bothers me on Xbox is that when you move around in the 737 Max cockpit, going sideways, up, and down, the map on the EFB shifts side to side and zooms in and out as you move. This must cause significant disruption for the simulator, with the map constantly moving in all directions and zooming in and out. I’ve tried clicking on an area outside the EFB, but it doesn’t solve the issue. I remember that in 2020, a “white rectangle” appeared around the tablet screen on some aircraft to prevent this contact, but it was removed in 2024, I think.

This plane needs a lot of work and is borderline unusable in the current state. 90% of the time neither LNAV nor VNAV work properly, and making this plane a mandatory choice in Career mode only makes the issues worse. Why not let us pick the A320 instead? It’s miles better and actually works.

I believe the choice for the 737 is because;

  1. the a320 does not support MSFS’s flight planning tools, so integrating it into Career would be a nightmare;
  2. the a320 doesn’t presently work on Series S. At all.

Anyone having trouble getting the elevators to respond? I start cold and dark. Program everything. I see the yoke moving correctly but the nose never lifts up on takeoff.

Am I missing something?
