Just flew the 747 on 2024 and had absolutely no issues with it. I set the fuel, passengers and cargo in the MCDU (INDEX menu, Settings, Fuel and Payload), it gave me CG of 18 which was a 6.2 on the trim. Set that and took off no problem. Flies much smoother than the 2020 version
Shame wind request and simbrief flight plan request is no longer a thing. Also managed to start engines with the fuel pumps off but can do that in the inibuilds A330 as well
I didn’t use the EFB load aircraft as I don’t think that works and if it does, it always puts the CG way out which is probably what happened to you. Once tipped a C172 onto it’s tail by trying to add random payload using the EFB
Also just discovered that engines will start with fuel pumps off as engines are gravity fed from the fuel tanks. Need the pumps to ensure they keep running during turns etc as the fuel levels start to run down - learn something new every day
The fuel pumps actually don’t need to be on, you’re only controlling the ac pumps with the push buttons in the cockpit, while there’s also a dc pump that run automatically:)
Yeah I discovered that later that the engines are gravity fed from the tanks and the pumps are only there to keep a constant flow through turns, climbs and descents
It just looks really off. I cannot find any video or photo reference where it looks like that in the real thing. Someone with more knowledge might chime in.
Bad stutters in everything at the moment. But this one was prone to excessive stuttering in FS2020 if you had more than say 10 waypoints on your flight route and is probably the same in 24
With just a quick, cursory exploration of this aircraft in SU3 v1.5.4.0, I also see some of the same issues reported. None of these appear to have specific bug topics created for them:
Engine LOD - this appears to be specific to only one LOD - zoom out further and the engine re-appears:
