Trying it out on SU4. Not a single fix after a whole year is WILD
I’d give it an hour or two, the plane updates may come later than the update itself, as with SU3
You’re right I’ve checked again and they seem to have added wingflex
The entire exterior model should also be completely re-done with the additional updates in SU4.
Flew the 787 10, The 787 10 is too big, I wish they would include the 8 and 9 variants because i would probably take the 8 out more, or a smaller wide body Boeing aircraft that would let you fly a majority of the airlines, like the 767 300/300er and even the freighter version ![]()
Yes they have corrected the visual model, but there´s still something missing, Spinner texture on one side, and missing textures on the gear doors, but it is looking way better
Still sounds like a vacuum cleaner IMO. Not sure they put any effort into the audio since 2020
Bravo airspace variant much better but need to enable 2020 version so it works
I’m really glad they (mostly) fixed the default livery, and (mostly) fixed the cockpit lighting…
Would anyone mind checking to see if the FMC keypad has backlights - mine are dark in this current build. And yes, I’ve tried turning up every lighting knob available…
Also, this bothers me so much. The 787-10 is a first party aircraft, and the EFB is also made in house, but the passenger counts don’t match.
The EFB shows a max of 320 pax
The FMC shows a max of 344 pax
Also… The LOD is messed up a bit. In the drone, if you move away from the plane, the wings disappear, then the whole plane disappears.
It used to be you could use the drone to go quite far above or below your plane in flight, and see it (and the contrail) from quite a distance. The culling or jettisoning of one’s own plane shouldn’t happen (in my opinion) for the simple reason you usually want to keep sight of it - or at very least the culling should happen much, much further away.
I concur, 100%
Appreciate some attention to the issue with center aileron / rudder disfunction. The model and paint jobs have really improved!
The B-787 is famous for having gull-like wings that flex a lot. This was lost in MSFS 2024 but was there in 2020. It is supposed to be back. Here is the “Gold Standard” from 2020:
As a 787 fan-boy I have been putting it through its paces over the past day and after 3 stall spins here is what I am seeing. I think it is there but not as profound as in 2020.
I have filed a bug on the autopilot not picking up the GS properly. The little triangle does not change color properly… needs to be re-engaged… if others are flying this plane IFR please see if this occurs at your own favorite ILS. I am running mostly at SFO:
OK, I have a really dumb question: On PC, MS-Store, does the 787-10 Dreamliner not have a cabin modelled?
I’ve been looking at a lot of planes, now that SU4 is out, and I’m now confusing myself with which plane has which features… I could have sworn it had a cabin modelled before, but perhaps I’m mixing it up with another plane. I remember whichever plane I’m thinking of had “United” in the Cabin, regardless of the exterior Livery…
That’s the default 2024 787-10 - that stood out to me because they didn’t include the United livery but all the cabin interiors are United.
Yes, I was pretty sure that’s what I had seen in the 787… but I just re-installed MSFS (with SU4 release) and now I can’t get in to the cabin. If I click the cockpit door to open it, I end up outside in walk around mode… what am I missing? I have 2024 Premium Deluxe
The default Boeings tend to have solid doors - you have to use the drone camera.
Is there a way to store views in the cabin to the custom views?
- I was looking for the cameras.cfg, but it seems to be streamed only and thus cannot be modified
- The old trick to set copilot view, then move all the way to the left, and set pilot view takes you outside, but I can only move the camera back into the cockpit, nowhere else and in particular not from the outside into the cabin.
Any better ideas? The cabin is quite nice and the passengers also show. The drone camera moves all over the place during flight and is not really a good option.
Since the 787 cabin is (for whatever strange reason) only accessible using the drone camera, you could try binding something to one of the “Fixed Camera” settings. But you would have to first change to Done camera, then to Fixed Camera.
Also, there is a bug I reported, where when you change the “Fixed Camera” via keybind, it also changes the Cockpit Instrument view to the same respective number - so when you return to the Cockpit view, you find yourself in one of the preset Instrument views. Then if you try the standard Reset view… it sends you BACK to Drone camera. It’s totally broken.
Assuming you’re on PC? I just use Alt then Up, down, left and right arrows to move the camera where I want it in the cabin. Then do Ctrl + Alt + 1 to store, then same with 2, 3 and so on. Just move through the cockpit door, don’t open it or you’ll be on the ground.
You then use Alt + 1 etc to choose a camera, F puts you back in the cockpit. I also have one close to the nose, I like this view when taxiing.
