The Cessna 208 nosewheel dosnt seem to be spinning. Also the turning radius is to large
Missing cabin interior in the āResearchā livery during a tornado mission.
Visible from outside as well.
I have the exact same behaviour. Have reported a bug ?
I didnāt, made more tests to be sure that is not only on my side the issue. I will report the bug.
Moderator Edit:
Bad plane, in career mode it is used for the qualification to turboprop vehicles but once completed and arrived at the parking lot to complete the test I discovered it is impossible to complete it because the rotor, even if turned off continues to spin at about 180 rpm preventing me from completing the test, it is the fourth time I try again

For me there is a thing with the performance.. Whenever I load this aircraft the Sim gets laggy
Iām experiencing an issue with my 208 where it keeps accelerating even when the throttle is fully idle. While taxiing, I constantly have to apply the brakes to keep the aircraft from speeding up.
Iāve checked all the levers in the cockpit, and everything appears to be in the correct position. Does anyone know what might be causing this or how to fix it?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Is there a way, to get the Caravan Cold an dark? When I load the plane, the Fuel Selectors are and the Fuell Shutoff are set to open
Thatās not a bug, that real behavior, to stop it from accelerating the throttle has to be puted in BETA range, a sort of light reverse. Pilots constantly alternate between idle and BETAā¦.thatās realistic
Iāve also found that moving the condition lever to low idle makes taxiing easier on the brakes, and the pilot. In hardware, binding a propeller pitch control works just fine for me (same as in 2020). An IRL turboprop thing.
Or rather between Ground Idle, which is beta range with no reverse, and Flight idle
In talking with my commercial turboprop pilot friends itās the engine that is your speed management tool, not your brakes. Virtual brakes are cheap, real ones not so much. Something I know Iām trying to adjust in my simming behavior.
Low idle on the ground; beta range; and ability to use reverse thrust all are key then.
Thank you, that really was helpful!
The cargo addition is cool but would be nice if it didnāt disappear halfway through a flight.
We donāt care as much about brakes so much as blowing a tire by braking too harshly / too early. Usually after touchdown itās into beta/fine and aero braking. Reverse as required. Under 60 or so knots start to walk in some brake pressure if needed. Come out of reverse under 50 (or somewhere around there. just donāt let yourself get too slow in reverse, the plane is tail happy when loaded and youāll probably tail strike if youre going backwards and try to stop in a panic) and donāt use brakes to slow during a turn.
In my case the throttle cannot be set to idle ( though the lever shows an idle position), the brakes after landing are not sufficient enough as it is in 2020, when slowing down, it zigzags from right to left, and the propeller reverse throttle does not work at allā¦
@Bejeavis let me ask you another performance question: what do you think about these settings for a medium range flight @FL100 without being at full payload: I usually set 1900RPM and 400-350pph? As Iāve seen in the āleakedā charts that you can find almost everywhere, for the EX version, that would be a āfastā configuration. But I have always had serious doubts about the 1900 rpm. I suppose that it shouldnāt be a āpleasantā config due those high rpm, right?
Just wanna say, the 2024 version is awesome compared to the 2020 version! Iāve been in a 208 in real life in Africa in the right seat and something that struck me there was just how much bigger the plane was compared to what I thought in the sim. Iām not sure if itās just because we can walk outside now, but something about the 2024 version really captures the planes scale and feel of actually sitting in it.
Sounds are really good as well.
Really excited to make this my first āCompanyā plane.
I was immediately struck by this, too. The aircraft is just massive!
